    Got my hands on this (Rare?) Console. It was a Dash Testing Console and was supposed to be recycled but never was. Judging by the stickers I’m pretty sure it’s an Asia/Japan NTSC-J console. Works perfect and the drive is flashed.

    i've recently got the free xbox live subscription, and now i'm met with a huge issue, i've wanted to get netflix on my xbox 360, but I can't access bing or anything for that matter, i'm limited to only these four options, less than if i used no profile at all. I don't know what to do, please help.

    Just dug my dad's old Xbox out of the basement the power brick has a orange LED and 3 red LEDs on Xbox. Is it dead?

    Wireless 360 controller using a wire to connect to PC?

    Trying to source a 360 controller for my PC and my mate only has a wireless. I'm reading some really old sources that say its not as simple as just buying a wire for it. That will charge it but wont send data.

    Is this still true or is there a work around? Really don't wana spend ages soldering shit, as I'll just try and buy a wired one, but just wana save some money if i can.

    Just finished Assassin's Creed Revelations...

    Is it just me or was it way too easy? I kept thinking there must be more story after Altier's library because I felt like I had pretty much cruised through everything else. I never even got that good at fighting or being stealthy because the ranged weapons were so powerful and amo is plentiful, the call assassin's/arrow storms, and essentially unlimited health because of always having so much medicine. It also felt like it was way too easy to aquire/upgrade items and weapons since the money always came pouring in. I thought the idea of capturing Dens and den defense was super cool, but then they were super easy to capture and I only had to do den defense once or twice even though I didn't place master assasins at my dens. I was hoping for a more constant struggle for control. I could go on...

    Just me? Was there a difficulty setting I missed? I also have AC2 and Brotherhood since I got the bundle, but should I bother? are they going to have the same feel?

    Later model 360E power issue - console or power brick?

    Edit: Console is currently powered on and working. I didn't do anything different, I just pressed the button one more time after posting this and it fired up...?

    Hi everyone. Hopefully I've come to the right place here, I'm looking for any advice or ideas to get my X360 up and running again before the 360 Halo servers are gone for good at the end of the year.

    Console is a Gamestop refurbished 360 E, bought almost 5 years ago. Has always worked fine, never had any problems until recently. Console has sat unused for about 3 weeks, after my TV crapped out on me. Two weeks ago, after not playing for a week, I attempted to use my computer monitor as a display. Everything still worked fine, except without an audio extractor I had no sound (cheap monitor without built it speakers).

    Yesterday I finally broke down and got an HDMI audio extractor, got everything hooked up, only to find my console wouldn't power on at all. Button clicked, orange light on power adapter, but got nothing. I set the console aside and went back to real life, thinking my dream of completing my last ODST achievement was dead.

    Today, for no real reason, I pressed the power button. Shockingly, the console started up... for about 2 seconds, and then powered off. I pressed the button again, and it did the same thing - lights up, hear the internals start to fire up and spin, and then it just shuts off. I tried one last time, this time with my eyes on the power brick. The light on the brick turns green as soon as I press the button, and then it all cuts off again within 1-2 seconds.

    So, I turn here: any ideas or advice? Is it worth trying to replace the brick? I'm really not in a position to throw money at it if it seems like that's not a solution (really kicking myself for the money spent on the extractor I now don't have a use for).

    I just want to find a firefight squad and hit my 100% completion in ODST before the servers drop in two months... :(

    Need help finding a functional power supply for an original model Xbox 360

    Dusting off my old reddit account for this!

    So, my girlfriend bought a secondhand Xbox 360 at a yard sale some years ago. It's an original model, as it has a chrome disc drive and a manufacture date of 2008-11-03. A couple years back, the power brick's little light went red. Even then, it was hard to find a replacement, so it sat unused for a while...until I moved in. I still had the hard drive from my own 360 and some games, so I wanted to see if I could get it working again. I asked a friend if I could borrow his 360 power supply. He kindly let me, but unfortunately neither of us realized that he had a Slim, so the brick wasn't compatible.

    My girlfriend ordered one online, but unfortunately despite the seller advertising that it was for the original model Xbox 360, it was ALSO for the slim. I got in touch with the friend who I gave my 360 forever ago. They sent me my old power brick. We plugged it in, expecting for our long journey to at last be over. It wasn't. That brick turned red, too.

    We've been keeping an eye out in local secondhand stores, recently, since we didn't want to take the risk of ordering one online again. Most of the ones for sale have been for the Slim, but last month we were delighted to find one compatible with the original model! We were so excited! I probably don't need to tell you what color that little light on the power brick turned once we got home and plugged it in.

    If you've been keeping track, we've now gone through three different power supplies (including the one that originally came with the console), and that doesn't even count the two Slim power supplies. It's gotten frustrating--scratch that, it's BEEN frustrating. Are all of the original power supply models just...dying of attrition? I suppose Microsoft wasn't expecting people to still be trying to play an original model Xbox 360 in 2021, but dammit I wanna play Rock Band again. Is there any reliable third-party model? Is there anywhere we can find an actually still-functioning Microsoft model? Is the best solution to just buy another system entirely, maybe even a Slim? If so, how do I use my original 120GB hard drive with that model?

    tl;dr please tell my girlfriend and i where we can find a working original xbox 360 power brick
