- My xbox 360 makes a loud noise when the drive is shut (no disc.) This console has always done this and I've tried looking for solutions but none that really seem good. I know it's something to do with the spindle or magnet thing in the drive lid.
- If anyone owns this, anyone willing to selling this? Xbox 360 10th Anniversary Slim console
- When i try to load halo 3 it says "to play this disc, put it in a xbox 360 console"

| USB Charge and Play Not Working? Posted: 30 Jun 2021 09:44 PM PDT This is a strange one which I swear I've never had the issue of that I can ever recall... So I've dusted off my Xbox 360 so that I could jam some Guitar Hero and Rock Band and some other oldschoolish games. All sweet... that is, until I want to charge my controllers. The issue I have is with my Charge and Play cables for the wireless controllers... it seems the Charge and Play kit only works when the cable is inserted in to the console in order to see the RED charging light! If I plug the Charge and Play cable to a PC or other powered USB outlet they do NOT charge the controllers?? I swear I used to be able to plug in to my PC or other USB outlets and my controllers would charge. However now, I only see the RED CHARGE LIGHT when plugged in to the 360 and 360 only! If I try plug in to XBONE or PS4 or any other USB outlet - I get a flash of GREEN light then it turns off to NO light at all (almost as if the batteries are dead, which they clearly aren't). Basically - what am I doing wrong here? Surely I should be able to charge the controllers without needing to plug in to the 360. Is it perhaps the outlets I'm plugging in to are too little or too many amps?? I don't recall this being an issue in the past as I recall using these controllers on PC etc.. seems now if I wanna use these controllers I gotta whip out the 360 to charge them?? | Posted: 30 Jun 2021 01:17 PM PDT It's been YEARS since I've connected my 360 to Xbox Live and besides the three friends i have "online" (Windows and XbOne), my friends list is a former shell of good times in the 2010's. If anyone still plays and uses their 360 account, it'd be tight to add and get that friend count active again. Not even looking for people to play with bc i know Gold is probably iffy and there's no way (to my knowledge) to buy games via the store anymore. Posted: 30 Jun 2021 05:39 PM PDT I just upgraded to a E model from an original chassis (Falcon) model. I have an original Halo disc that worked on the prior console, yet won't load into gameplay on the new console (the disc boots, but the levels don't load). The game reports that the disc may be damaged. This is true — the disc is scratched, but again, the prior console was able to read it and load into gameplay. Anyone know why this issue might be happening? Could the disc be scuffed in a way that the new console just can't read it, and therefore resurfacing the disc might help? Could it be the particular version of the emulator that is installed? I installed an emulator update on the new console that I was prompted for as soon as I tried to load the game. Thanks!
