    Just putting it out there that halo MCC now has a custom server browser and it’s pretty awesome. I highly recommend it.

    Been talking to some friends that had no idea this was a thing, thought I would spread the word for you guys!

    Edit: trying to make a custom game mode myself but can't get anyone to join unfortunately.

    Edit 2: I got some games going and it was pretty fun. Made a doom style hybrid mode that was a lot of fun. The map was like a larger version of cod shipment. Speed and damage was doubled, takes about 2 headshots to kill.

    Xcloud is actually aimed for older desktops

    Why spend money upgrading your GPU or CPU on your desktop when you can play ALL Gamepass games at Series X quality without taking up memory AND you don't have to pay for every game. Serious PC gamer competition. Very smart. Its more accessible to the older generation gamers who can't afford the upgrades needed to play future generation games. To top it all off, it's future proof.

    Only down side I see is access to FAST internet. Most people think it's everywhere, but it's not.

    Summary:

    A company called "PlayerWON" is creating a platform that will allow game companies to run advertising in console games. It will give players the choice to watch a 15 or 30 second ad in order to unlock in-game items.

    If you're thinking that this will only apply to free to play games, apparently EA (why am I not surprised) is already one of the partners and they want to use it for their sport games according to the report.

    My Opinion:

    I'm not a fan of any kind of advertisement period. But I'm willing to watch a small ad every now and then to support the independent content creators (on youtube for example) that provide me with quality content for free and they only request me to watch ads so that they can make more content.

    Gaming companies trying to make extra money using in-game ads is completely BS. Especially if the advertisement is not optional. Gaming companies are hardly struggling. They are constantly expanding and acquiring more studios. And in EA's case, they literally make tons of money from microtransactions alone. EA bought two major gaming studios within a year (CodeMasters and Playdemic) so they by no means are struggling and need the support.

    Not to mention that this could potentially apply to sixty dollar and even seventy dollar games (EA sports games are currently NOT free to play). Imagine paying that kind of money and you still can't enjoy an ad free experience. Why would I buy a seventy dollar game that might be buggy at launch and still be interrupted with ads during gameplay?

    Then there's also the implication that they might extend loading time artifically for this. They might design more games to be online only so that you can't skip ads. I can see a lot of things going wrong because of this.

    All in all, this is complete garbage and I personally will boycott any game that attempts this sort of thing. As a game pass subscriber, I can easily play or support any other game that wont do this crap and I really hope this doesn't become a new trend.

    Is it ok to spray can of Air into Xbox disc drive

    I bought some can of air to clean my Xbox One X because I hear using a vacuum risks damaging the components. After cleaning the insides I was going to spray the disk tray/drive whatever you call it because it looked fairly dusty however I'm not sure if it's ok or not to spray the disk drive again from what I hear can of Air is safe for electronics especially for an Xbox but just being cautious.

    So i went on xbox today and 50% of my games are on this hard drive, and when i went on xbox today all of my games and apps on my hard drive are gone, it shows on my downloaded games and apps all the games i had on it but i have to redownload them, does anyone have any idea what happened

    LED indecator for my keyboard works during the loading screen but not after

    So, when I turn on my xbox and the boot up screen starts, my keyboard will light up the caps lock when I press it to indicate it is ok, but once it finishes the boot up screen, it freezes and doesnt work. Anyone know a fix (it's not the keyboard I have tested on other devices, it just seems to be my console)

    What’s a good monitor for a Series X?

    Recently got a Series X after using a 2013 model Xbox One, and I'm also considering getting myself a monitor since I've been using a 720p TV for years at this point.

    From what I've seen so far, it appears that the two routes one can take is choosing between either 4k/60fps/60 Hz or 1440p/120fps/60Hz (120Hz depending on the game).

    I'm wondering which of the two options is better (though I have a feeling it comes down to personal preference) and recommendations for good monitors.

    Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you!

    Does the age of the TV affect the Xbox one's ability to display?

    Pretty much the question in the title. I have a very old sony bravia and my Xbox one won't display on it. Also it makes a beeping noise and then turns off. It's like the power supply ( I have an og Xbox one) isn't getting enough power. I really don't know what to do about this? Should I replace the power supply?
