Posted: 05 Mar 2021 12:50 PM PST I have a xbox one from 2014. As of recently my xbox hasn't been able to run big games in terms of map size and player count. Warzone and apex legends lag too bad i cant play the game. Im getting 70-120 ping and 5-30% packet loss on both. On other games like Cold war, Rainbow six siege, and the multiplayer of modern warfare all have around 20-30 ping and no packet loss. I don't know if it is a coincidence because it all started the same say my wifi company had an outage. All other devices like phones are fine and work perfectly [link] [comments] | ||

Rockstar and Microsoft had a promotion for $1 Xbox Gift Card per can, so, because I use both, I said why not and racked up the max of $60 CDN. This balance however expires. Because I have been playing Rocket League with friends lately I decided why not use my gift card on some in-game credits. So, I attempt to make the purchase using the balance as primary method and pay the rest with my credit card. The purchase says it couldn't verify my address and failed. however, my credit card was charged and the credits were received. The problem here now is that for some reason it only charged $15 from the balance and charged the rest, which was $61.59 to my credit card. So, I contact support through live chat and he says I can just submit a refund request through the site and to try the payment again once refunded. Okay so that's what I do. Refund received and attempt payment again. This time the total was a bit different because Epic Games had some price change so this time however, it charged only $7 out of the $60 balance and $62.72 to my credit card. I then go to submit a refund request and tell them the problem. I get emailed back saying it was declined because policy is 1 per year. I'm kind of confused as to how they can reject it when they said to try the purchase again after it had error so I try to contact through live chat again. I am told to reply to the email and forget about whoever declined it and this will reopen the case and that once refunded, the support team should make the purchase so no errors occur. It did reopen the case but was never fully looked at because I only got a reply from the automated message saying one per year policy. (All these requests were within the 14 day refund request period btw) Now on the 14th day of the refund request limit, I resort to calling support. I explain my problem and tell them how I have contacted support twice and they told me to try the purchase again and everything else. He says he took my info and will get a supervisor to contact me within a day or two so I said okay sure. A week goes by and no response. So I try calling again today. After about 35 mins the guy comes back with a response and mid-response, the call goes out on their end, I wait 10 mins for a possible reconnection and nothing. So I hang up and call back. Told the new guy my situation and he said yeah they just had a small disconnection issue for a few mins and without me telling him my xbox info, says he already knows the case I'm talking about. I tell him all the details and he actually transferred me to a supervisor after about 45 mins on the phone. She told me her hands are tied because of the refund policy and that because I already got a response from the refund team declining it, they have to stick to the policy. This is where I ask her how that's fair at all because they're the ones who told me to try the purchase again. I guess at first she misunderstood and thought I was just trying to get 2 refunds because I didn't want them for something because she asked me to clear things up after she told me she cant give me it because of policy so I went through the whole story with her listening for about 10 mins and how I said I never wanted to pay in full with a credit card and I just wanted to use up the balance and how it's not fair at all how they can tell me to make a purchase the same way that failed the first time then refuse to refund me again when it failed. I was nice to both representatives on the phone and never yelled or got angry with them so I was surprised when after all my explaining, she just hung up the phone! Can anyone get me in contact with someone that can do something for me? I know to post people this might not seem like a lot of money but when you're working minimum wage and part time, losing $70 for nothing is a lot. Thanks for any help I get :D [link] [comments] | ||
Error while joining or creating party Posted: 05 Mar 2021 11:37 AM PST Hi all, A few days ago I have started getting an error code everytime I've started or wanted to join a xbox live party, it always says: "something went wrong with your party. Try again later.[0x89231048]" But when i checked my network settings everything looked allright, my nat type was open(i was on wireless network), and it said all services are aviable. Would upgrading to the Series X make any notable changes to the resolution/frame rate or is it a waste of money unless I'm upgrading my monitor too. My monitor is not free sync... [link] [comments] |
