Just fixed my flood damaged xenon. It was completely submerged in the floods that affected my town in Kerala, India. Lost the cabinet and shell in the aftermath of the floods. Happy that it boots after a reflow and repaste. Need to put it in a DIY cabinet now. Do share your ideas. Thanks. Oh and btw the disc drive is toast. Want to boot into xell to retreive the DVD keys and then plan on getting a new drive for it.

360 unable to read specific game, everything else works fine - error codes 03-80-00 and 03-57-00

i bought the Red Dead Redemption game of the year edition (in the xbox one backwards compatibility packaging specifically) and have been completely unable to play it so far. any time i put it into the disc drive, either the normal disc or the undead nightmare disc, the 360 is unable to read it. it tries for about a minute, making some clicking noises, and then gives me either error code 03-80-00 or 03-57-00.

every other game i own plays perfectly fine. the discs themselves do not seem damaged, with only a few tiny scratches and far less than some other games i have that do work. what could be the cause of this and how can i fix it?

the 360 is a black slim model that i've had for some 8 years, so hardware problems aren't unexpected, but it seems strange that those two discs specifically are the only ones that don't work. the system has some other issues with randomly disconnecting from xbox live, but that seems unrelated.

Maybe my experience will help someone else too, so mods please don't delete this post.

I bought myself an xbox 360 a couple of weeks ago. When I tried to log in xbox live with my microsoft account which I created a couple of years ago for my windows computer it told me that my password was incorrect athough I know that I typed in the correct password. My password was 18 characters long and had 2 symbols used (hashtags). I dont know if the symbols or the lengths was the problem but as soon as I got me a new password for my microsoft account using my computer the log in worked. The password I now use is 9 characters long and has no more symboles in it.

So if someone also struggles to connect to xbox live resetting your password and using a shorter password without symbols will maybe help you.

The device does not have a disk drive, and won't connect to xbox live because it won't update for some reason.

is there a way to get games on it? like from a flash drive? or is the thing just dead now. thanks!

I was gonna play online multiplayer on Gears Of War 2 but it said that I can't. It prompted that my gamer profile does not allow something like that. But when I checked the Privacy and other settings on the console and on the website, all were Allowed. Sad that I can only play with Bots but that's fine. I guess. I just wanna experience what it feels to play online.

Few week ago for 30 euro a slim 250gb 360, 2 wired controllers, and a kinnect.

Today 25 euro for a slim 250gb, 2 wireless controllers, and two games.

And there was a slim with adapter without controllers for 15 euro.

Why are they so cheap?
