Posted: 26 Feb 2020 02:06 PM PST Live on stream, I've beaten Killer Instinct's Shadow Lords mode on Challenging difficulty (the second highest) and unlocked, as a result, the Astral Plane, (the only stage that's not unlocked by default). Beating Gargos in this mode was a challenge, though it might not necessarily look like it. After playing KI for around 5 years, having started towards the end of season 2, technology in the form of Optical Character Recognition (OCR which allows me to read the text in-game to a reasonable degree even with no sight whatsoever) and the assistance of the chat on my streams, in addition to (of course) my co-collaborator Ridge who joined me for all my Shadow Lords runs to read the menus and assist in hyping up the chat, I've been able to achieve what I thought to be very difficult if not impossible. If anyone has any questions about how I play KI or other games without sight, feel free to ask. I hope to 100% this game at some point in the future in terms of achievements (I'm at 98% at present) and if I manage that, it'll be my first 100% game. I've never played a single Yakuza game in my life, and while I do think it's cool, I just keep thinking to myself the entire time how badly we need a sequel to Sleeping Dogs. Man that game was awesome! It broke into the GTA like open world genre without being too much like GTA and instead doing its own thing. And the story was so damn good.
