(UPDATE) I just had my Xboxes stolen! Posted: 06 Dec 2019 03:37 PM PST Just received a call from the detective working on my case. They found my Xboxes and some of my other things. He created an account and played on it a bit before pawning them a week after the theft. Unfortunately they have been submitted as evidence and I will have to wait until the DA decides if they need the actual items or just pictures for the trial. Im hoping the guy will just plead out and I get my stuff back in the next month or two. Thank you guys for all the advice you gave me on my previous post! Posted: 06 Dec 2019 03:26 PM PST I originally created this Tutorial in April of 2018, and then again in November of 2018. At the request from several Redditors, I have Updated and Revised this NEW tutorial for the Microsoft / Xbox Rewards Program. You will see each section divided with Reference Images for your convenience. And as always feel free to message me or post below with any questions! In this tutorial, you will learn how to Sign Up for Microsoft Rewards, Earn Reward Points, as well as redeeming your points for Xbox & Microsoft Store Gift Cards, Xbox Gold & Ultimate Memberships, as well as Target and Wal-Mart Gift Cards and some others. In this new revised edition we will also be showing you how to get the new Game Pass Quests!! You will also learn how to use the New Xbox Rewards App as well as the New Xbox Game Pass/Rewards App!! FOR REFERENCE:
MS Service Agreement: Link To Service Agreement Microsoft Support / Microsoft Rewards FAQ: Link to Support & Rewards FAQ MICROSOFT REWARDS DASHBOARDTUTORIAL:STEP 1. ] The Rewards Dashboard "BASICS" After you sign up and register your MS acct. go to https://account.microsoft.com/rewards To the RIGHT of your name you will see: IMAGE LINK
Step 2. ] The Rewards Dashboard "DAILY SET" IMAGE LINK STEP 3.] The Rewards Dashboard "POINTS BREAK DOWN" & IMAGE LINK Here you will find the following:
So now your Completed Total should look like this: Image Link
And that is pretty much how I earn 300pts a day. Just using the Rewards Page Dashboard. I swear it takes less to do searches then it did to read this tutorial! Once you Earn 500pts you will Hit Rank 2 you will stay at Rank 2 until the end of the month when your rank will reset back to Rank 1, then rinse and repeat. You gain rank by earning Reward Points and coming back to keep your streaks up. Step 4. ] The Rewards Dashboard "DAILY STREAKS"
You can see how this is a nice lil bonus gift that can earn you on a good month an extra 450pts, but take note if you forget one day to do your "Daily Set" your streak will reset back to a day 1 count causing you to start your streak all over again! Step 5. ] The Rewards Dashboard "Leveling" Redeeming Points EarnedThis section we will discuss how to Redeem your Reward Points for Rewards! After you have saved enough points you can redeem points using the PC Rewards Dashboard, Xbox Console App, or by using the Xbox Mobile Game Pass App. On the PC dashboard go to and click on "Redeem" Here you will be taken to a Page where you can redeem your points for Sweepstakes Giveaways, (which I never win) If you now click on "SHOP" IMAGE LINK here it will take you to a new page where you can use your points on things such as Game Pass, Xbox Live gold, Skype, Xbox and MS Gift Cards, and other things. Each month you will find a HOT DEAL which will discount items you can shop for. The Hot Deal will run from the 15th of one month to the 15th of the next month and then it will change to a new Shop Item. "EMAILS" & "SHOP and EARN"
XBOX ONE GAME PASS QUESTSXbox One Console Rewards App Rewards Weekly Set Game Pass Punch Cards New to Console Rewards are Punch Cards Image Link
Pro Tip #1 from /u/ichinii] There are Punch Cards that will award sometimes 4000pts or more for buying selected digital games. This offer does not apply to pre-ordered games. You must buy the game after it releases on launch day or a time period after release to earn these pile of points. Earn More, Achieve More Complete Any 1 Achievement and Earn 50pts Image Link Also new to the Xbox App is the ability to earn 50pts daily by just completing any 1 Achievement from any game. This will award you 50 pts a day! Xbox Game Pass Mobile AppGame Pass Mobile App has recently added "Quests"
Here you can log in using your Xbox info to log in. These Quests are the same quests that can be found using The Xbox Console Rewards App. Sharing Points Between Family Members
Also just to note my wife has an Xbox Live acct, she has had since the Xbox 360 days. Other Updates, TIPS, and FAQ

The new Xbox dashboard is actually great! Posted: 06 Dec 2019 01:43 PM PST The last system update took its place on 22nd of November 2019 according to my stats but the visual change of the dashboard apparently happened overnight. I'm not a member of the Xbox Insider Program or anything like that, just a regular user. Either way, I really like the way the devs has simplified the whole interface. It's minimalistic, fresh and responsive on my X1S. Does anyone have an idea why there are people who've received such an update earlier than everyone else without knowingly participating in any program? [link] [comments]

Help a dad pick a console for his 10 year old Posted: 06 Dec 2019 08:25 AM PST My 10 year old son is a great gamer - on Nintendo Switch. Lots of fun interesting games there. But he also wants to do some stuff that isn't on switch, eg. Madden and others. So I look into the Xbox. I think I have the difference between X and X figured out. And I see that there will likely be a whole new generation of consoles for Xbox (and PS) next holiday, so don't want to break the bank. So my question then is, bang for the buck, recognizing the relatively shorter shelf life it will likely have given we will upgrade at some point in the future, what is the best console and deal to get for right now? Eg. I see a Walmart deal for $159 for a 1TB One S with free Fortnite, Sea of Thieves and Minecraft. Is that a good deal? Are those games free to download anyway? Would an extra controller bundle be a better deal? And for that matter... obviously most here will say Xbox, but Xbox vs. PS debate?? I guess I'm a boomer now, lol. Any help is appreciated. Posted: 06 Dec 2019 08:22 PM PST I've tried everything. Absolutely everything. I can find online about my NAT type. I literally have 2 other Xbox One's sitting right next to it connected to the same router with same connection settings that are Open NAT type. What can I do about this? Everything is outdated or doesnt work. I cant connect to online matches really, and it takes forever joining parties. About to sell my xbox if this keeps happening. EDIT: GOTTA LOVE XBOX. TELLS ME MY NAT TYPE IS OPEN YET EVERY GAME I LOAD INTO, IT SAYS CLOSED AFTER THEY HARDLY LOAD IN. [link] [comments]
Posted: 06 Dec 2019 07:20 PM PST I was thinking about getting a 500Gb Seagate SSD for my Xbox One. I looked on Amazon and most reviews were positive. However I did see some very concerning 1 stars saying it broke within a year. To anyone who has a Seagate Hard Drive or SSD, how has it performed for you? [link] [comments]

Xbox Elite Controller V2 Disconnection - Possible Solution Posted: 06 Dec 2019 09:03 AM PST I'll preface this by saying I have tested this rather extensively and believe I have found the root cause of my disconnection. This may not be the same for everyone, however, I do suspect it will help some people. The problem: Elite V2 disconnects randomly, then reconnects after a short period of time. Initially, I could not figure out the cause of my controller disconnecting randomly, which usually causes me to die in whatever game I'm playing at the moment. It only happens with my V2 Elite controller. No other controller has any issue, including a V1 Elite. After much trial and error, I determined that my cell phone, which I usually have charging next to my Xbox when playing, was causing the issue. Bluetooth is always on when it comes to my cell phone and each time a message, email or other comes in, I get a notification on my smart watch. Every time a notification would happen, my controller would disconnect. Thus, I believe the issue is related to the new bluetooth functionality in the controller. This site provided me with a jumping off point for my research. I've confirmed this numerous times. I purposefully tested this as recently as yesterday. For an hour I played Division 2 with my phone in the other room, no disconnections. As soon as I brought my phone into the room, my controller disconnected within five minutes due to an email notification. Solution: Move your phone, or any other bluetooth device away from your Xbox and controller or disable its bluetooth when playing. Update - 6:50 PM: Tested it again for two hours tonight. Brought my phone into the room with my Xbox, ensuring the bluetooth was off. I had zero disconnections. I then turned my bluetooth on, sent myself an email and the notification popped on my phone. Almost immediately my controller disconnected. So for me, this is definitely the issue. [link] [comments]
Xbox one X internal hdd replacement Posted: 06 Dec 2019 10:17 AM PST Wondering if anyone could help here, my xbox one X (purchased Feb 2018) has died on me. Getting error code E102, I've looked around online and it all points to hdd failure. I tried an offline update and factory reset via USB but had no luck. Microsoft support are just telling me it's out of warranty so £268 for repair/replacement. I took it to a UK based retail store (cex) for them to try to repair it and they had no luck either, they said hdd is too damaged to move required files from old hdd to new hdd. I just wanted to know in anyone's experience how easy it is to replace an internal hdd/how to get the required files needed. Or if there is anything I can do in terms of warranty as the hdd broke on its own completely, the xbox has been looked after never taken apart or dropped etc. I'm just really disappointed in Microsoft as the xbox one X is not a cheap console and for it to crap out after not even 2 years isn't great in my opinion. Any help at all would be very much appreciated, thank you [link] [comments]
