If I buy a XBOX One disc with game that has or will receive Xbox Series X update, can I update my game to that version or I must play an old version?

Looking for a way to access my old profile

I'm posting this here because this is the largest xbox subreddit and I'm hoping someone here will be able to help as I have had no luck myself.

I'm going to get straight the the point and summarise as best as I can:

When I try to log into my xbox live profile I get told I need to do a security check, which I cannot do as my email address linked to the account also needs a security check, which I cannot do as the mobile number linked to the email hasn't existed for many years.

As far as I know and can find out, the only way to recover an Outlook (formerly hotmail) email address is to fill out an online questionairre with questions such as recent emails sent/received, Skype contacts, and other things that I find almost impossible to answer as i hadnt used the email for anything other than signing in to xbl for ~7 years. I have had no luck finding alternate methods to access my email, if anyone knows of any please do tell.

Obviously without being able to sign into my xbl account I cannot change my email, and i have tried signing in on the xbox website to the same result. The Xbox (360, I'm poor) that I'm trying to sign in to is the only one I've been signing in to for the last 6 years so I'm not sure why I suddenly have to do a security check anyway. Very frustrating as I now cannot access any full version of any game I have installed to my HDD, most of which I've paid for and cannot access unless signed in to xbl. (Which was annoying in the first place).

I'm sure I'm not the only one who has had this problem and if anyone can share any information/tips/resources they know of that can help me with this it's be much appreciated. If there's a way to recover my xbl account while circumventing the recovery of my email address that would also be fine. If theres any other information I can give, let me know also.

Mic for my Bose headset…

So my gaming headset crapped out on me, (it was old) I'm currently using my Bose headset into my Xbox controller via the 3.5mm jack. Works just fine. I'm looking for a mic to pair with it, for some reason, the built in mic on the Bose headset is not accessible. So I'm looking for a mic I can possibly, somehow attach to my Bose headset. Is there anything like that on the market that you guys know of?
