Just thought I’d ask because this has been a thing forever Posted: 16 Dec 2021 10:33 PM PST Am I the only one that updates games at a relatively good speed but as soon as I update an app (Like the store app) it just downloads ridiculously slow? I mean my internet speed is by no means super fast, it caps at around 15 mbps, but as soon as I update an app it goes to like 500 kbps. Trimming Clips Never Works Anymore? Posted: 17 Dec 2021 01:41 AM PST Seems like it hasnt worked for me since Upload Studio was taken down. Really wish they wouldve kept even a primitive version of upload studio. Was very cinvebient for trimming clips and splicing them together and adding text if needed and then sharing to one drive. The Xbox Accessories app was finally updated today, fixing the errors in the Controller Elite 2 (PC) Posted: 17 Dec 2021 01:33 AM PST There has been hundreds/thousands of ppl asking about this, and finnally today we have it: ​ After two months of waiting, the "Xbox Accessories App" has finally been updated, and PC users can finally update the firmware of the Xbox Elite Wireless Controller Series 2 ​ It's been two months in which the controller has been unusable via bluetooth for us PC users. When you wanted to use it via bluetooth, it happened that: ​ - If you pressed A, the xbox game bar would open - If you pressed B, a screenshot was made - Other random pulsation / vibration errors ​ Completely unusable. The solution was to update the firmware of the controller (it was stuck at 4.7), but the Xbox Accessories App did not allow updating the firmware during these two months, the option did not appear. ​ Today finally, the application can be updated (go to windows store-> check for updates). Then, you enter the app, connect the controller (with cable) and you get the option to update to 4.8 ​ And voila! the controller (tested by me right now on the FH5) works perfectly via bluetooth, without opening the xbox game bar or strange things. submitted by /u/serpao [link] [comments]

Should I buy a series S? Posted: 17 Dec 2021 01:33 AM PST So I wanted to get a new xbox for Christmas, and I'm undecided between the series S and the series X, the reason why I am is because first, I don't think I will be able to use the series x to it's fullest (since I got a 1080p 60Hz monitor in my bedroom) second, I'll have to trade my previous console to do so, and I don't want to do that. Though I also heard about the problems that the series s has, and tbh I can close an eye to most of them, but not when it comes to the resolution. Hear me out, it's not like I wouldn't buy it because it has a lower resolution of the series x, that's not what I'm implying here, the fact that it runs at 1440p/1080p (depends on the games) is perfect for me since I have a small monitor, as long as I have ray tracing and a high frame rate I'm more than okay with it. But the problem is...I heard people complain about the console lowering the resolution down to 900p in some games just to get that high frame rate (example: it happens when you play assassin's creed valhalla) and in some other games, the opposite happens...high resolution, but a maximum frame rate of 30. Does this still happen? Or has the problem been fixed? It's been a year since they released the consoles...so I want to know...have these problems been fixed with software updates and game updates?
