    Home Unlabelled Xbox 360 - 360 Slim in vertical position. First time owning a slim, was playing the game fine, nothing touched the console & all of a sudden it says "can't read disk". Eject it & has that circle scratch. Is this a known problem for the slims in vertical stance? Or is something else happening to the disk drive?

    Hey, guys! Not sure if this is the right sub or anything, but I dug up my old 360 and had some questions. It got retired for a different console after the disc drive stopped opening and closing. I decided to try and take it apart, and I don't know if it's because I don't have a gentle hand or if it's because the plastic case is old, but some plastic parts cracked. I stopped immediately. This Xbox is the model with the detachable hard drive.

    Should purchase an Xbox One and hope all my stuff transfers? Send off the Xbox to someone to get repaired (and if so, who??)? Just buy a refurb 360? How much saves on the Xbox and not just on the external hard drive thing?

    Controller not working on PC

    Title. I have this old Xbox 360 controller which im pretty sure i bought with the console. Now i wanted to see if it would work on PC, because i dont have any other controllers.

    The controller is wired, and i plug it in no problem. It shows up in the device manager, although as wirelesss controller for some reason. The whole circle on the controller blinks, but shouldn't only one corner light up if its working? When i try to play games that allow controllers, it doesnt work and i dont quite know why. If i can get this to work it would be really convenient for me. Any answers are greatly appreciated.
