    So this morning when I woke up I wanted to watch some YouTube, and when I turned on my Xbox, but was having an update, so when it was done it only turned to a black screen.

    I've tried everything I know, and nothing. I also noticed that notifications and stuff still pop up, like when you get on and it greats you with your name. But still a black screen. Anyone else having this problem?

    Edit: I was able to factory reset mine, thank you all that helped!

    I work at gamestop, and I decided to replace the boring standard labels we have on our drawers to mark game categories with something with a little more flair. Being the Xbox drawers, and me a big fan, I thought this would be appropriate. How did I do?

    title says it all, i try uploading a custom gamer pic through xbox app and it says it'll update when the mods look at it but it's been a day and with multiple attempts nothing happened. i've tried doing it through xbox but it says file explorer has been abandoned. does anyone know a work around without using a pc?

    Why does my 6 months free for Game Pass Ultimate not show under subscriptions?

    I already had a monthly subscription to Ultimate running which shows under my account in the settings, however I just activated two 3 months free codes in the store but they do not show as active on my account, any ideas?

    The emotional roller coaster of the Xbox Friends List...

    So I'm sure like me, many of you have friends and family on your Xbox friends list, probably dating back as long as you can remember.

    Yesterday, like many times before, I found myself an emotional mess while looking through my friends list and realizing it is full of death and lost friends/family. I stumbled on a replay of a race between me and my dad on Forza, messages from friends and family that have passed away, or just seeing their screen name in the list with no recent activity.

    Yesterday hit me in the gut as I saw my deceased nephews screen name and clicked on it and realized we played Halo 3 together the last time he was alive, and had so much fun.

    It really is a sort of yearbook or diary of sorts to history with people you know, and it really hits hard when you realize many of them are forever gone, except for a small digital footprint on your friend list that reminds you of the good times.

    Let me tell you about my feelings about Series S

    I had PS3 super slim, PS4 Slim (so yes i was a PS guy) but now i gave a try with the Series S, as there is no PS5 Digital Only anywhere (i dont need a disc tray for extra 100 bucks) And now... im thinking of "do i really need a PS5?" So yes, i didnt regret it.. I love it so much

    Pros (for me):

    +The game pass (ultimate) is much more worthy then the ps plus, and most of the games are really good

    +I loved playing the old Halo, GoW, the newer ones are also pretty good, i enjoy them so much, so xbox "exclusives" are cool as well. Playing Forza Horizon 4 right now also, really great racing game (Y)

    +SSD is so freaking fast

    +The controller is very comfortable and the vibration is so much better then on the dualshock 4.

    +Literally i cant hear the fan..

    Cons (for me):

    -Only one thing that can be annoying.. the 512gb ssd is not that large (yes...i knew it before buying it)

    -Mostly 1080 or 1440p, but playing the games on a 4K tv from a distance about 3 meters.. its not that noticable so that resolution is perfectly fine for me

    So if you want to play games like COD MW / BO CW etc.. that can be painful (But most of the games can be installed in an external hdd)

    Overall a very adorable, fast console for a great price (Y)

    Complaining about suspending the game button

    Hi I'm a no body but I have a real problem with the new suspend your game button,I was playing smite ranked and I noticed that my warface game was paused so I tried to resume it but accidentally clicked the suspend game button and now I have a 723 min (11 hours) for "desertion" when I was trying to resume my game.. now I'm my opinion this would be a good button if it wasn't in front of the resume button

    Best xbox model for old games?

    Hey guys! I want to buy a used xbox and need some advice. I'm not a huge gamer but I had an og xbox and 360 as a kid and miss the old games like crazy. I'm looking for a relatively cheap model, mainly to play games like SSX 3.

    For some context, I LOVED games like SSX tricky (and all other ssx games), Midnight Club 2, Sega GT, and JSRF. Those were my favorites as a kid. I know that most of these aren't backwards compatible but I'm hoping there's another way to play them (lmk if so!). I def plan to get SSX 3 and will probably buy some other cheaper games too.

    Is there a specific model you'd suggest to play these games?

    The older models seem pretty pricey (which doesn't seem worth it without any new features). I'm finding a lot of xbox ones for a good price. Interested to hear your thoughts and suggestions!

    Basically - I almost got scammed, but I bought the cards and the retailer will not take them back. I do not use xBox - my one son does but does not spend any money on the platform. What are these good for - who uses $300 on the platform?

    Xbox one controller dont work on pc unless it's plugged

    I remember how to sync the controller with bluetooth, but i can't even get to that step since my controller only works while plugged to my computer. It's plugged most of the time so i thought it would be charged but i'm not sure what's the problem here. When i press or hold the xbox button unplugged it wont light up... Any help is welcomed.

    I updated my controller with the Xbox accessories app, i tried other batteries, didn't work.
