- Why is it that the Xbox 360 slim has the hardest time trying to connect to my home wifi? I’ve tried everything and my OG 360 with the network adapter works, just the slim never connects. Does anyone have any idea how to resolve this? Tired of not having the 360 slim connect to the WiFi. Thanks!

| Red ring/dot of death missinformation Posted: 19 Oct 2021 07:36 AM PDT I see a lot of posts where people in the comments are just missinformed about the red ring/dot of death and I'm going to try my best to explain this. Every 360 model can red ring or dot no model is immune only ones that are more reliable than others, it's not slims it's all determined by the motherboard Jasper (found in phats) is the most reliable with trinity (found in slims) coming in second place. There is no ways to avoid red ring other than get a reliable model and keep it clean, so don't follow any bolt mod methods or towel tricks they are bad for the console and it's temporary fixes. As soon as it's red doesn't mean it's dead, there is a secondary error code which you can know how to get following this video (https://youtu.be/NZxFejO9YFE). It's not caused by overheating, it's good to keep your console well ventilated and dusted out but you don't get red ring of death only 2 rings (or a dot on slim models with error code) and if that's the case dust it out and replace thermal paste and it should be good. How do I know what model I have? https://i.redd.it/w6p2qp036h831.png here I have an image that tells you how you can identify motherboard, on phat models look at power plug and slim models check the power rating on the sticker on the back. What about E models? They come in Corona and Winchester both have same ratings and also same reliability as it seems. I have done a search and I have seen many claims that an updated 360 should be plug and play with the unit. I can't seem to figure out how to get it to work though. [link] [comments] | ||
