    my Xbox 360´s source suddenly started to light up in red, and now it can't keep on for more than just a few minutes. what should I do?

    yeah, I know, the console is pretty old, but I was still working fine, but a few weeks ago it can't stay on for more than just a few minutes.

    I've heard about the red ring of death, but the red light is on the source, not on the console. There are more than just a few games that I'd like to play there, so I'd like to "fix" it. I tried to go on a few web sites that gave some pieces of advice, but it didn't work at all (the advice was like keep it on, and try to remove the plug from the socket, while keeping the source on the console).

    as per title. desperate to get myself an xbox, as a previous playstation player. live in the UK and cannot find a series x anywhere, but the series s is widely available. do you guys reckon I should get the S now, then sell it further down the line? have no idea how long it will be until I can get my hands on a series x.

    High latency on Xbox one after internet upgrades

    I have an og xbox one and i used to play by wifi and get around 100 ping with my 100mbs download speed. I decided to get a CAT5 eternet cable a couple months ago and it brought my ping down from 100s to 60-70ms. But for the past couple weeks i noticed my ping as been going back to the 100s. I contacted my internet provider, they sent someone to change my modem and upgraded me to a 200mbs download package. Ive noticed i dont lag as much in game anymore (apex legends) but there wasnt any difference in the ping since i upgraded my speed. I tried alternative mac address, changing my dns server from google to cloudflare and still nothing.

    Should i get a cat6 or 7 eternet cable? Any recommendations on what i can do to just improve my ping?

    Edit: oh, if only it were this easy. Seems like now both of my triggers are continuously... triggering. I'm just impressed by the fact that the company who made the game, the OS and the controller can't even get it to work together properly (in my case I bought the controller for FH4, which is a Microsoft title for Baggins' sake). In case anyone knows how to deal with this utterly stupid problem, please, let us know...

    So there have been QUITE a number of users complaining they couldn't use their Xbox One or Series controller over Bluetooth in certain games on PC with Windows 10. I think I've figured out another possible fix that I don't recall having seen elsewhere.

    1. Connect your controller via Bluetooth using the Windows 10
    2. On the right of that screen, click on "Devices and Printers" under "related settings"
    3. In this Control Panel window, double-click on the wireless controller icon
    4. Go to the hardware tab and select the fourth option in the list (should be something like "Generic controller" or "Bluetooth LE controller", might be different) -> properties
    5. Click on "change settings"
    6. Go to the Driver tab and click on "Update driver"
    7. "Browse my computer for drivers"
    8. "Let me pick from a list"
    9. Uncheck "Show compatible hardware"
    10. In the Manufacturer list, scroll down to Microsoft, and in the Model list, scroll down to "Xbox One Wireless Controller" and select that.
    11. Click next and proceed to install this driver
    12. Enjoy your controller working over Bluetooth!

    I’m unfamiliar with Xbox but would like to see if I can help my younger brother

    Hello! My younger brother lives in a different state than me, but contacted me remotely for some help. He got a new Xbox, and would like to log into his previous account, however he can't remember the password. This seems like an easy fix to me however he also can't log into the email address associated with the account, and it's a very very old email account where the company isn't in business anymore.

    Basically, I was wondering if there was a way for him to get into his account without the email nor a phone number associated to the account. I know this is stretch, however any help is very much appreciated!

    Keep getting strange flickering fuzziness across my screen on my xbox one s. I tried getting a new HDMI didnt work. Hard reset my xbox multiple times didnt work and doubt its my TV because i watched youtube multiple times on it and had no issue. Its worst on games like GTA IV and GTA 5

    I know this was a thing a while ago but I've been searching around if it was still possible to get 3 years of game pass ultimate if you purchased 3 years worth of xbox live gold then converted to game pass with only 1$. Most stuff I found is fairly old articles so I'm not sure if you can still do it and if you can, is it still the same steps as in cap your xbox live gold sub(3 years) then purchase the game pass trial for 1$?

    How to fix the Xbox 360 controller disconnecting

    For alkaline battery controllers, check if the battery pack is on correctly and if it still doesn't work then change the batteries.

    For rechargeable battery controllers, the battery pack may be dead, just grab the included charger cord, plug the USB into the console and plug the other side into the controller port located on the top, be sure to listen for a click to make sure it's in correctly.

    I noticed something about EA game reviews on xbox

    I was looking at buying a UFC game because im bored with all my other games, and the people I see think that 4 is a steaming pile of poo and that three was superior. However, when I went to 3's reviews, said that 2 was the superior game. This happens with a bunch of other games like it. I just want a UFC fighting game that I wont get bored of after 10 minutes.

    Need help for 360 Xbox Live error

    Hi, I need help for the Xbox 360 Xbox Live error that my mother has. First I need to say that I'm not gonna be at her house for a lot of time so I cannot do things/tests as soon as I get a response. I'll just tell her what to do but only when we both have time.

    The problem is this: she wants to play Plants vs Zombies Garden Warfare on her Xbox 360, she doesn't have a Gold subscription but she doesn't care about online, she only wants to play the single player mode (and two players mode on the same console). At first the game told her something like "The game requires a connection to Xbox Live to function", the game didn't tell that it needs a Gold subscription, but only Xbox Live, so when I was at her house I made it so her account was connected to Xbox Live (the free version), the console says that it's connected, and now the game says something like "this account doesn't have permissions to connect to Xbox Live", no Gold mentioned, so I don't know why it says that, the account is connected to Xbox Live, the console confirms that. I tried to see the privacy settings and other things but it seems that there is nothing that forbids her account to connect, so I don't really know what to do The game to be played only in single player mode shouldn't require a Gold account, am I right? I can play the single player mode on the ps3 game without an internet connection, so it should be the same for the Xbox 360 I guess.

    Edit: oh and I already tried all the default answers such as "try to turn off the console and try again" or "try to reset the network settings"

    Automatically switch audio to headset or speakers when headset turned off or on with Series X?

    Sometimes I like to play with my headset, and sometimes I like to play with my speakers. My PS5 automatically switches audio to my headset when I turn it on, and it switches back to speakers when I turn it off. Is this behavior possible on Series X as well? So far I've always had to switch it manually, which is a mild inconvenience.
