    Thinking of parting ways with one of them, probably the XCM. Have had it since pre-launch, and tired of it just collecting dust. 1.16 board with X3 chip and 500gb drive .. Any guesses as to worth these days?

    I have never owned an Xbox before but I am so impressed with the Series S and Game Pass.

    I've always been a playstation guy but I passed a special certification for my job and decided to treat myself to a new toy and saw a Series S available at a target in the city.

    What a console...it's so small that i'm shocked. I know the X is more powerful and bigger but I doubt i'll miss the extra power for now.

    GamePass is a real game changer. Undoubtedly the biggest gaming innovation out there. I also found the effort Xbox puts into the store, trailers, etc to be fresh air from PS5. Gamepass and games for gold seem like a celebration of gaming.

    For someone with the attention span of an apricot, getting on and picking game after game is therapeutic. The fun never ends....over the weekend I jumped from Halo, to Portal Bridge Constructor, to Sea of Thieves. I want to tackle the entire Gears of War series next.

    I played some Sea of Thieves in 2018 when it launched and thought it was the coolest game ever, it's 1,000,000x better now. I am looking for a crew FYI.

    However, Forza Horizon 4 was the biggest surprise for me. It is the perfect post work drive around game and the tranquility I felt banking left turns in E30 BMW's and VW Rabbits is what I'm after as I move into spending more time on my career and having less time to grind out a campaign.

    I am also so pumped to pick up the Halo 3 story...me and my cousin beat that campaign launch weekend 07 when we were 10 and 11. Sweet nostalgia.

    Halo, Gears, Forza, Sea of Thieves....what Xbox essentials am I missing?

    And FFS, I've spent only $1 on games this month.

    Xbox Wireless Headset: What I wanted to know

    Having bit the bullet to buy the new Xbox Wireless Headset on launch, after waiting for and reading reviews, here are some questions I'd had I wanted a more clear answer to.

    Connectivity: It will play over Xbox protocol, bluetooth, and USB to windows 10 connections.

    You can pair Xbox or bluetooth while the other is already connected. It does interrupt playback to do so.

    You can play Xbox/Bluetooth or USB/Bluetooth sources at once. The volume wheel raises and lowers sources equally. The chat/game balance wheel does not change the balance between Bluetooth and other sources. USB or Xbox connection to PC by default shows a muted speaker, and windows volume adjustment has zero impact on the volume of the headset. This is controlled only by the dial.

    I can confirm Eartrumpet being used to change the volume of individual programs and windows does reduce volume of those apps when being played through the headset.

    USB playback only occurs if the headset is on. Plugging it into your PC with the headset off will charge, without connecting. This is good, because USB connection overrides your current Xbox connection, console or PC. You will have to reconnect wirelessly. So you cannot wireless to console, USB to PC, ad Bluetooth to mobile.

    Sound Quality: It would probably be better to go with a reviewer you trust if audio technicals are your thing. I can say it sounds equal to or better than my previous HyperX Cloud II when they are compared as headsets with no software or USB soundcard alterations, and that was good for me.

    Fit: They seem comfortable even with glasses, and the ear cups are a nice size. They secure around each ear without my ears needing to touch the sides, and this allows me to adjust the fit on my head slightly in all directions. The headband I'm still fiddling with, but it's comfortable and very adjustable. The adjustment is strong, and doesn't slide unintentionally.

    Other: What I believe to be the mic monitoring is impressive enough I am currently muting the mic when moving around, as I could hear myself rummaging drawers from controllers. This was also with auto-mute off and turning it on seems to have resolved that.

    I hope this can help someone make an informed decision. I'm happy with my purchase, I just wish I could have known more going in.

    Xbox YouTube app has changed

    So today I tried to watch a video, turns out it was age restricted. Usually this isn't a problem it just starts the video however today it said that I had to verify my age. To verify I have to provide a credit card or ID. 1 I don't have any form of id. 2 Because I've got no form of id I haven't been able to get a bank sorted. I've been trying to get a bank sorted for about a year and a half now since just before quantine. Does anyone know a get around

    Series S struggling with NBA 2k21 Next gen

    Has anyone else been trying to play the new NBA2k on their series s and have so many issues that it's unplayable? I've been trying to play and the game freezes and crashes constantly and whenever you are able to load into the park half of the time the other players aren't even visible. To only make things worse when you try to join a park game with the invisible people the game dashboards you. It's so annoying and I've posted in so many places about it but haven't gotten any help. It also seems to only be Series S users that have these issues so maybe it's just that the console isn't powerful enough? Or maybe that the game is so terribly optimized? I wouldn't put something like that passed 2K bc their whole game is essentially a money grab.

    For background information: My Xbox one X's power supply is busted and won't work, and my Xbox one S's power supply is still fully functional.

    It'll be 4K @ 60FPS on Series X, but weirdly they've opted for 4K @ 30FPS on Series S, rather than 60FPS at a lower resolution.

    XBox Wireless headset connection issue

    Hey all, just got my new Xbox wireless headset today and was wondering if anyone else is having connection issues with it. Headset works fine with my Xbox Series X and my iPhone. Does not work with my Gaming PC or my laptop.

    I have updated everything I was able to find, drivers, connected the headset via wire and it updated the headset itself. All seems to be up to date but the audio connection is very unstable, sometimes playing sound fine for a minute followed by a lot of stuttering or no sound at all.

    Any help would be appreciated since I was not able to find anything online so far.

    EDIT: Motherboard: MSI B450 Gaming Pro Carbon AC

    Wired connection works problem free on PC. All sound is played. No stuttering.

    Xbox Wireless Headset Win 10 Bluetooth mixer issues

    Got some strange issues with my PC connection, works fine with USB but when I connect to Bluetooth I get two output devices; one mono and one stereo. It works fine until I connect to Discord, then all sound is routed to the mono output and nothing except the voice chat from discord is routed to the stereo output.

    Running on-board bluetooth 4.2, ASUS ROG STRIX X470-I Gaming mobo. Also tried a Dell Latitude laptop with exactly same issues.

    It seems like the headsets mixer isn't working properly, since I cannot mix the mono and stereo output at all. Firmware issues maybe?

    EDIT: No sound through the stereo output device, all sound is coming from the mono output.
