Xbox one not receiving any game/party invitations! Posted: 02 Dec 2020 05:48 PM PST So a few minutes ago I was on my Xbox and friends of mine kept getting mad at me because I wasn't joining their party. I was confused because I didn't receive any invites and checked my app seeing I had several party invites. I joined and they invited me to a game but I still didn't receive any invites. I tried deleting the app and doing a hard reset on my xbox, I checked notification settings and nothing was wrong, I even went as far as changing controllers yet nothing is working. I cant send or receive invites to my freind Posted: 02 Dec 2020 05:46 PM PST I have been trying to invite my friend to a match of rainbow six sige but he doesn't get the invitation, So then he tried inviting me witch diddent work either, but we had a third freind who was able to send and receive invites just fine. We tried having him invite us but only my first friend could join. We hard restarted are xbox's and tried again and it still dident work, we narrowed it down and were able to send and receive messages and all that stuff but if you try to invite them to any game or party the invite doesn't show up. I Just Got a PS5 - What I Miss About Xbox Posted: 02 Dec 2020 12:58 PM PST The PS5 is my first PlayStation console in over a decade. I had the PS1, PS2 and then switched to the 360 as that's what all my friends had. Last gen I also had an Xbox one and I played the hell out of that. I mainly played Battlefield 1, COD MW, Apex Legends and rocket league. After switching to the PS5, I've noticed a few things with those games specifically. For me, I personally find the Dual Sense more comfortable to hold than the Xbox one controller, which was previously the gold standard of controllers for me. I also absolutely love the advanced haptics, and resistive triggers of the Dual Sense, it's truly next gen stuff. However... When playing something like Battlefield 1 or Apex legends, I find the Xbox controller to be far more functional. Let me explain - in BF1, in order to access your classes abilities, eg. health crate/syringe for medic or flare for scout, you have to use the D pad. Obviously the left joystick for both consoles controls the movement of the player. On Xbox, because the joysticks are offset, I can continue to move my player forwards while quickly extending over my right thumb to select my equipment. The same goes with Apex Legends and selecting health or grenades, or Rocket League when communicating using the preset D-pad messages. Battlefield 1 was my favourite game of last gen, and I sank more hours into that than I care to mention. I tried to play it today on PS5, and I really missed being able to throw some health down or select my syringe while running forward towards my downed teammate. On PS5, I had to stop running forward, select the syringe, then proceed forward to do the revive, which in some cases, got me killed. I understand this is a minor gripe, and I'm sure as time goes on I'll become more comfortable with playing shooters on the PS5 controller. However I do now see how having offset joysticks can be advantageous in certain situations. Just my experience and random thoughts. Would be interested to know if anyone else has noticed this as well. PS: I'm not a fanboy of either console, as I said I've owned and love both. [link] [comments]
Any way to transfer game data from one account to another? Posted: 02 Dec 2020 05:46 PM PST Basically the entire question is in the title, I've been using an account for multiple years, but I wasn't the one who created it... really long and complicated story, but I have full access to it, it's technically "My account", but just want to try and transfer saved game data off of it to a new account. Is there any way to do this that you guys know of? (note, not sharing a game to a new account, just the user data.) If it helps at all, I'm specifically wanting to do this for a Minecraft world, but if there's a way to do this for other games as well, that would be amazing too. [link] [comments]

Including party audio in clips? Posted: 02 Dec 2020 03:42 PM PST Is there a setting to change that will allow what's said in an Xbox party to be included in a clip? Like when I hit "Record what happened" if it's possible for party audio to be in said clip. Any help is appreciated [link] [comments]
How many of you have/use first generation Xbox accounts? Posted: 02 Dec 2020 07:01 PM PST So I started playing Xbox seriously in about 2015 when fallout 4 came out. My dad introduced me to the fallout series and FPS games in general, and I've loved every minute since. He doesn't play anymore (like, at all) and so he's kind of passed down his account to me now, and as I was looking at the account today, I realized it was a first generation Xbox account, it had been made all the way back in November of 2001 when the first ever Xbox came out, and not only that, but the name has never been changed, even once. And this got me thinking, how uncommon is this? I know that many people only came with the 360 or 1 (or series x/s), and so that begs the question, how many of you out there actively play on first generation Xbox accounts? Whether you yourself got it when the first Xbox account or you're like me and it was passed down to you by a parent or older sibling? And of you, how many have never had the name on it changed? TL;DR: how many of you play on an Xbox account that was made soon after the first ever Xbox came out (whether yours originally or passed down by someone else) and of you, how many have had the same name for these past (near) 2 decades? Posted: 02 Dec 2020 06:35 PM PST This may seem like an odd question, but would a 360 external hard drive (it connects via USB) that has all my old game data transfer over to an Xbox X|S? To make a long story short, I grew up without a solid internet connection (not the case anymore though) and never saved my 360 data to the cloud or anything. But my 360 just got a red ring and probably won't want to boot up for very long again, so all my data is already safely in my hard drive, and I was hoping to be able to just plug the external hard drive into the Series X|S and copy the data right onto the system. And though I don't have an Xbox One readily available, I could get my hands on one if I had to use one to transfer the data to that, and then from there to the Series X|S if need be, but not sure if that's how it would work. Hoping this makes sense, though I originally thought I'd probably be able to since its all just USB connections? Though maybe not, due to the 360's older hardware? Any help would be greatly appreciated. [link] [comments]
Could an outage cause terrible download speeds? Posted: 02 Dec 2020 06:31 PM PST So according to https://support.xbox.com/en-US/xbox-live-status there is an outage. I've been trying to install my game that I accidentally uninstalled and it's been saying "installation stopped" constantly. I thought it was my internet but could this be caused by the outage?
