- When using remote play with the Xbox app, you can connect your controller directly to the console instead of the phone if it's within range, significantly decreasing input lag
- My RB button is ridiculously unresponsive. It works for a bit if i blow on it, but it always goes back to doing this:
- So I filtered “show hidden games” and I don’t have anything hidden, and the filter button disappeared. It’s stuck like this and I can’t see my progress on my games anymore.

Turns out per the official microsoft support, it's simply not available and no ETA is given or any indication that it's in the works: Now, I'm not the only one to notice but it was such a vital feature for me in a household with a couple kids and a wife who also want to use the tv, so I wanted to bring up the discussion again. I don't know if pinging /u/majornelson to the conversation would work, but I would like to see if there are any plans on the feature, or if it's something that could be discussed. This turned into probably my second favorite thing about my Xbox One behind only the Game Pass in terms of how important it was to how I used it. So it certainly came as a disappointment when I connected my fancy new Series X just to find it was no longer supported. With how interconnected everything is becoming all the time, this feels like a major step backwards. [link] [comments] | ||

All this time I have been awkwardly plugging my laptop into my TV to watch movies/sports on a big screen, so this is a huge game changer for me! I'm not sure when this app was released, but after having an Xbox One for 6 years and browsing this sub for a similar time, I'm really surprised I've only just discovered this, so hopefully this can help some others who may have missed it too. No harsh treatment, no damage. The right bumper has just stopped working entirely for no discernible reason. None of my other Xbox controllers have this issue. The third one took nearly five weeks to replace, wonder how long this one will take ... and all the while, my warranty (which they had to extend for everybody because the controller is so broken, after launching with only a six-month warranty lol) is running out. I'm just going to be in a constant state of returning this damn thing until it runs out. I don't know why I'm posting this. This is just frustrating as hell because the controller itself feels SO DAMN GOOD. It's annoying how nice it feels and how solid the construction seems, until the bumper just stops working for literally no reason. Ughhh. [link] [comments] | ||
| Posted: 29 Dec 2020 11:40 AM PST I discovered this by accident—while the range is limited because you have to be near your console, the input lag is significantly reduced. To do this, launch remote play on your mobile device, then ignore the prompt that asks you to connect a Bluetooth controller. Then, just turn on your controller as normal and it will connect to your console while still streaming the gameplay to your device! I've only been able to test this on iOS, but curious if it works on Android as well. [link] [comments] | ||
