| Posted: 05 Dec 2020 06:26 PM PST Somehow I had just my USB 3.0 enclosure fail and not my actual drive. Turned on my 360 and all my games were gone. After freaking out for a few minutes and trying different cables I decided to swap the drive into an older USB 2.0 enclosure and it works. Is there a good reason I should use a 3.0 enclosure vs a 2.0? The drive is a 5400 rpm 1 TB WD blue SATA. And has anyone else ever had just their enclosure crap out instead of the actual drive? | Posted: 05 Dec 2020 07:04 AM PST So i dug out my old 360 to relive some memories and i bought a new copy of tdu2, since i lost my old one and it was probably my favourite 360 racing game. Everything worked well for the fist few weeks but then my console started to freeze. And as time progrssed, these freezes became more frequent. I looked up many articles but nothing seemed to help. Here is a list of things i tried (each to no avail) : -Remove the hard drive -Clean the disk -Moved it to a more ventilated area -Moved it to a cooler area It doesnt just freeze in the game, however. Often it freezes on the main screen, or avatar select, or settings etc., making me think it isn't a cache problem, although i could be wrong. Any help would be greatly appreciated Thanks. | 360E RDOD (0003) - how to fix? Posted: 04 Dec 2020 10:53 PM PST Hi there, I have a 2015 Xbox 360 E (Winchester) which isn't working. The power button immediately goes red when turned on, similarly to this post, however it is even quicker; the behaviour seems similar in terms of timeframe to that shown here. This started occurring after a few months of inactivity and being unplugged. The in-depth error code is 0003, indicating an issue on the GPU power rail. The motherboard is one with an onboard 4GB storage unit, however it has been almost exclusively used with a hard drive. The only internal change I have done is to replace the thermal paste of the single die to the heatsink (as it seemed to previously throw error 0012, though this may have been a misreading on my part; this has been an on-and-off thing for me to try and recover over a while, and it may be my memory failing me), however this hasn't resolved it. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to repair this? Thanks! [link] [comments] |
