He fought the PR nightmare that happened with the launch of the One (always online, can't trade games to friends, the freaking Kinect lol, the $100 more than the PS4), he managed to create and expand the number of in house studios to 23 (as of today), brought us the best deal in the industry (game pass), and most importantly he was able to convince Microsoft to believe in the brand and his vision for its future (evident today with Microsoft giving them the money they needed for Zenimax) There's so much more he has done but in all honesty if not for him and his leadership I don't think Xbox would have survived last generation and it for sure would not be poised to come out swinging this generation. submitted by /u/CosmicCornbread [link] [comments]

Fuck it. I’m going to cancel my PS5 pre order get a Xbox Series X this time around. Posted: 21 Sep 2020 07:10 AM PDT Not only will the better GPU come in handy in the future but also is Game Pass the absolute best deal in gaming history. Fuck me sideways all MS IPs, plus Bethesda and id Software and on top of that EA Play. The few real PS exclusives I can actually do without. Most of the games that were announced and got me interested are timed exclusives anyway like Godfall, Project Athia and Kena. Game Pass will keep me busy until they release. E. This is no dig at PS or Sony like at all, I just will go with MS this time as the offer is just way too good, probably get a PS5 somewhen later, in a few years. E2. As this blew up a bit. No guys I'm not working for MS, not affiliated with either company, also not Phil Spencer. Just a gamer sharing his excitement. E3.
