Is this the ethernet card that is compatible with my Xbox 360? Posted: 20 Sep 2020 11:41 AM PDT A few weeks back I posted here about my 360 not being able to connect to the internet. To make it short, it could connect by wifi but would not download an update. It refused to connect via ethernet. I updated the software via usb flash stick and it refused to connect by both methods. I was told to get a new network card. I had some stuff come up that required my attention but now I'm ready to get it done I just need to know if I have the right card picked out. Are they compatible?? Thank you so much. [link] [comments]
Question About The OG White X360 Consoles Posted: 20 Sep 2020 01:22 PM PDT Hello there, sometime soon as of now I am getting my hands on an Xbox 360 console. The unit is one of the early white ones and I was wondering what I can do to minimise the chance of getting the three red lights issue (Red Ring). [link] [comments]
Is it possible/easy to replace the 360's hard drive? Posted: 20 Sep 2020 10:14 AM PDT My Xbox 360E is pausing every few seconds in games at the moment, by varying frequency and lengths, making a lot of games unplayable. The dashboard is also incredibly slow, so I reckon the HDD has sonething to do with it. I've tried searching for guides but a lot of them involve having a chip. Is that the only way? Is there no way to replace it easily like on Xbox One? I imagine official hard drives are really old now and I was hoping to maybe replace with a faster RPM one, or a newer, more durable model. Posted: 20 Sep 2020 08:20 AM PDT Ok, your console is old and you still play it but it runs like ass, dude, it is dusty, buy a can of compressed air or use an air matress pump to blow/suck the dust out of the console. If your console "WHRRRRRS" as the disc spins, yo shit needs to be dissassembled and dusted. YT has plenty of vids that go indepth on this. Make sure you take a picture of each piece removed from the console and follow the videos instructions to properly fix/clean it. The xbox360 originally is a quiet console but due to years (or decades in my case) dust build up it gets hot faster and makes noises due to shitty heat management. If you really want to factory new your console, get thermal paste / induction paste to help manage the heat problems playing your game if you dissassemble it fully. but yeah, that's mah ted talk. Thx for letting me type nerdy to ya. [link] [comments] |
