Posted: 12 May 2020 10:16 AM PDT Release date is May 14th. Moving forward, the game will cost $5.99 in the US for those that have never purchased or played the game. You'll get one free online match every day. And if you win a match, you'll earn a free match token. So you'll be able to play the game online each day without spending any extra money. If you want to play more than that, we'll be offering online match token packs along with passes that give unlimited access for a week or a month. Btw this is also for people who helped fund the game in early access...yikes. What is your ideal Fable game? Posted: 12 May 2020 07:51 PM PDT This is a long one... My perfect Fable game SETTING A fully realized Fable would be something to truly behold. Massive world with cities comparable to Novigrad in TW3, to not only go in each and every building, but own every property in the game. More depth with how rent and treatment of tenants affects the neighborhood. Like during time skips how the Temple of Light saw drastic improvements or saw hard times. But make it more frequent, something small, like new shops opening up because rent is low and the locals have more expendable cash. And something only touched on before, GIVE US SEASONS. Each area, forest and city should have 4 different looks and routines, all unique and full of different stuff to do. Ice skating or fishing in the lake etc.. Different shops and items available throughout the year. THE SOUL OF FABLE Each bit of dialog in the series was always a chance to immerse ourselves in a world of whimsy, tragedy and wit. Looking in this thread it's what most of us agree is our favorite part of the game, as well as its defining trait. So expand upon it, make the townsfolk a little more approachable with multiple dialog options and making them a bit more intelligent overall. But please leave a few dumb dumbs to talk to. Giving them a chance to fix the issue of redundant citizens blending together with little difference in personality. This would make finding a wife or husband SO much more interesting. CORE GAMEPLAY LOOP The core combat of Melee, Ranged and Magic is classic and only needs to be improved. Flourishes are Fabel's thing but it needs to be expanded upon to bring it into the next generation. I personally want bows and crossbows back. Toss the guns. And this is the important part, give us a damn JUMP. I want to smash some heads in with a hammer and then jump in the air, hover or slow mid air, and nail some headshots. That's a some BotW that I can get down with. And while we're at it, give some of those arrows some magical abilities. The magic in the series has ranged from "overpowered, never DON'T use me" to "completely useless, haven't leveled it up once." It absolutely needs more balance and unique spells. But don't just stop at magic being a part of combat, give me magic to make me invisible to make stealing more fun and dynamic. [Some of the most heart pounding moments we've all had is trying to get away with the shopkeep not seeing us. And getting acces to gear we couldn't possibly have the gold for yet. Have full on heist quests with unique rewards. So many quests are too "go there and kill that."] Magic that affects your likability and appearance could go a long way as well. You still get to be evil and have horns, but if you grind and get that enchantment, you can do that mission for the old woman who was once terrified of you. GUILDS Bring the damn Hero's guild back. And then gimme S'MOREEEE! An expanded HG with your own room, its own hero gear and shops, training areas with NPCs, recruiting other heroes in quests and leveling your favorties. Maybe eventually becoming guildmaster. And here would be my twist, after progressing far enough in the guild, you can specialize in whichever of the 3 traditional ability trees of Skill, Will and Meleeif you've spent enough skill points. Giving you access to a hardcore fighters guild, a mages guild or a thieves guild. Back on the stealth aspects of the game. For as fun as it was to steal in Fable 1 there were far too few opportunities to do it. Dedicated stealth missions and opportunities throught the game would be a welcome addition for me. Stealth mechanics like a crouch and detection system. As well as aforementioned stealth enhancing magic. All with unique rewards only for the skill player A fighter's guild gives access to similar quests, bounties, and access to the Arena. The Crucible and arena were easily some of my favorite content in 1 and 2 and I crave their return. But they need replayability. So maybe give access to an arena for all players, but only fighter's guildies get to do the hard modes and challenges, unique hero fights. No great ideas for a mages guild, hoped you guys could give me your best ideas. But keep the trend of unique quests, access to something the others can't and accompanying items only for will users. Which leads me to my next pitch... CLOTHES THAT MATTER Tons of styles. Allow the full, head, chest, legs, gloves and boots with the abilty to change their color with dyes. Have them all give stat or ability boosts for the thief, assassin or mage. Allow augment rings, not permanent augments on my weapons. Getting better augments further into the game. I firmly believe a robust augment system would give the combat much needed depth. Go beyond just more gold, XP, damage, health regen on hit. RELIGIONS Keep the classic Temple of Avo and Shadows, but possibly add other gods that each give their own blessing. Each having its own questlines, as well as crossing paths with followers or rival gods. All having effects on how the people of Albion view you. I could go on, but likely none of these things will come to fruition. So I'm just making myself sad haha. Anyways, hoped you all liked my ideas and would love if you guys expanded on them or told me what you think. Maybe i should just make my own game.... Sooo sorry about the wall of txt. I got carried away [link] [comments]
Xbox Elite Controller Series 2 constantly disconnecting from console; any fixes? Posted: 12 May 2020 07:02 AM PDT Been happening for a couple days now, but like the title says my Elite Series 2 keeps randomly disconnecting for no reason. The screen will show that the controller is disconnected even though the light on the home button is solid, it'll start flashing showing that it's not connected, then reconnect itself after about 10 seconds. I power cycled my system and checked to see if my controller needed to be updated (it didn't), yet the problem still persists? I even tried contacting Microsoft whose "solutions" were; make sure my controller and Xbox are in the same room (lol) and make sure there is nothing in between my controller and Xbox (again, lol). Anyone else have this problem and we're you able to fix it? [link] [comments]
Shaolin vs Wutang will be available for Xbox One on May 20th Posted: 12 May 2020 08:10 AM PDT This game is a love letter to martial arts fans. So far I've seen Bruce Lee, Chuck Norris, Jim Kelly, Jackie Chan, Tony Jaa, and Pai Mei but I know there's more. I guess they can get away with using their likenesses and martial arts styles as long as they don't call them by name? This has been an indy hit on the PC for awhile and personally I can't wait to check it out. [link] [comments]

Posted: 12 May 2020 04:50 PM PDT My game chat doesn't work for my main controller anymore. What's weird is that the party chat still works fine. I've tried it with two headsets and neither of them work. Oddly enough, my other controller allows me to speak in game chat, but I can't use it as it has a constant and heavy stick drift. Has anyone else had this problem? [link] [comments] |
