    Hello! First time poster here on r/Xboxone but long time lurker. Along with the rest of you I find that Game Pass is most assuredly one of the best deals when it comes to playing games. When I saw the news that Yakuza 0 was coming to Xbox I was elated and even more happy to see it as a Game Pass title. I already own it on PS4 but wanted to come and break it down and recommend it to people who aren't familiar with the series or who are on the fence. I'm going to put this into points with a TLDR at the end. Please excuse my formatting as I'm on mobile.

    1. What is Yakuza?

    Yakuza is an "open-world" brawler with RPG elements set against a Japanese organized crime story. To be more specific about the setting, the game takes place in the fictional city of Kamurocho. Which is akin to the real life city of Kabukicho, recreated in almost pain staking detail especially as the series goes on. The story mainly follows series protagonist Kazuma Kiryu, but in certain entries other characters are playable like in 0. The story is mostly serious but the game excels at breaking up the main plot with sub stories that are usually funny and interesting side quests.

    1. Really? Another open world game?

    Yakuza is considered to be the spiritual successor to the Shenmue series but without the crazy time management. It is open world in the sense that you can go anywhere but only in this small Japanese city. This actually works to the strength of the game as it is easier as you play to familiarize yourself with the setting so eventually you don't even need the map, you yourself can find your way just through a character saying let's meet here or x event is happening in x place. In turn, there are always NPCs doing their own thing, shops you can walk into, and restaurants you can eat at that make the world really feel alive. Especially considering through sub stories, you foster and develop relationships with NPCs that can change conversations and provide additional benefits.

    1. How does it play? What do you do?

    As I said you play as up and coming Yakuza, Kazuma Kiryu. He's essentially just starting out as a member of the Dojima family of the Tojo clan. Yakuza are essentially the Japanese mafia, so a lot of problems are handled with your fists, guns, and pretty much anything you can find in Kamurocho. I promise you will smack people with bicycles, signs, and traffic cones. Breaking up the open world exploration, you will get into a lot of fights. They do not call Kiryu the Dragon of Dojima for nothing. It is a 3D brawler where you change between multiple fighting styles. They all have their own strengths and weaknesses and can be leveled up through use. There is also "Heat Actions," big finishing moves that devastate your opponents in painful and sometimes comedic ways. There is a heat action called "Essence of Ass Crushing," must I say more?

    1. You keep talking about these sub stories, are they the only side content? What are they like?

    So there are 100 of these sub stories in Yakuza 0 between the two playable characters. They can range from just learning new fighting techniques to racing tiny electric cars to helping a new dominatrix satisfy a difficult customer. The sky is honestly the limit with these and anything can happen in Kamurocho. On top of that the in game arcade offers fully playable recreations of classic Sega arcade titles like Space Harrier and Outrun. There is also a real estate system where you can buy properties around Kamurocho to earn yourself money and take turf back from rival gangs. You also get to manage your own cabaret club where you manage the girls, dress them up, and help them get the most money out of their clients.

    TLDR:

    Yakuza is an amazing series with a ton of character and passion put into it. It makes you really feel like a badass Japanese gangster. It let's you go at your own pace and knows how to put a smile on your face. Kazuma Kiryu is the toughest man ever born but also incredibly innocent and truly has a heart of gold. If you are a fan of Japanese culture, brawlers, RPGs, or even a crime story I can't recommend it enough.

    Lack of polish in Jedi Fallen Order (X1X)

    Hi All,

    I'm playing on the Xbox One X with performance mode disabled.

    First of all, the opening hour of the game was outstanding, all aspects of the game felt polished. Consistent frame-rate, outstanding visuals, amazing set pieces and a night time setting that highlighted all the sparks and sabers of a Stars Wars battle, really impressive stuff.

    The more I've been playing however the more I'm noticing a decline in the general lack of polish. Throughout there has been a fair amount of flashing or corrupted textures (especially in darker areas when rotating the camera), the occasional frame-rate hitch but nothing too alarming.

    Recently I completed the Kashyyk section for the first time and this area in particular was a train wreck for me. I experienced frequent and sometimes severe frame-rate issues, including during combat sections such as the security droid and rooftop battle. Kashyyk also just often looks bad, the wookies, the choice of lighting & color palette which in the outdoor environment leads to really odd skin and armor tones (Saw Gerrera is a big offender for this). I'm probably being a little pedantic but the overall quality of the experience fells pretty degraded compared to the opening hour or so.

    Does anyone else feel the same? And to those who've finished the game, do things improve later on or can I expect more of the same visual flaws and degraded performance?

    I've had this issue where when I go to type ingame, whether it's ingame chat or renaming a character, where the keyboard won't go lower case after the first letter, it will stay uppercase for the second letter and then it will go lowercase for the third letter finally.

    This never happens in the system OS, only with type fields that are launched from a game itself.

    I thought this was just a modern warfare issue, but I opened fortnite and it does it there too. I can send a message to my friend by pressing the home button and the keyboard works perfectly there. It works perfectly when I search for something on the homepage, but this problem happens every time I use text chat in game.

    When I restart my Xbox the problem goes away, but it always comes back. I was able to trigger the problem to happen just now, just launching the Xbox app on my phone and the problem started immediately and doesn't go away even if I close the app. Only if I restart the console and it will happen again in a few hours anyway.

    Has anyone else had this problem?

    Just bought this Xbox one x last week

    My theory is it has something to do with using the Xbox app as a keyboard, because if I just do that once it will cause this problem forever until I do a reboot.

    DLC Purchases Do Not Appear In Game.

    The game in question is Rainbow Six Siege. Went to all their support forums, did everything the 3 other people (literally only 3 people seem to have had this issue. Search on Google, Bing, Yahoo, anything, it'll generalize your search to more searched things) who also asked this were told to do, by support, and nothing happened. Asked on the R6 subreddit and deleted the post due to no one talking about it there either.

    I bought the highest addition to the game, I have all Operator Packages, Year 3-4 work perfectly, but Year 1-2 do not work at all and the game wants me to buy the packages again with R6 Credits in game even though I have the packs downloaded, they appear in my installed list, but do not work. These packages open up my ability to play DLC Operators (2 of which I main, why I'm so agitated about this, plus the fact that I spent money on these packages) instantly without having to spend the 2 in game currencies to use them.

    What I have done to try to fix this (keep in mind the first 2 is all I've seen them say to do, the last one was me being desperate) -

    1. Hard reset my console.

    2. Deleted my account off the Xbox and put it back onto it.

    3. Uninstalled the Packages and reinstalled them. Uninstalled the entire game and reinstalled it. Uninstalled the entire game again, removed the account off the Xbox, signed it back onto the Xbox, made it my home xbox once more, then reinstalled it again along with the Packages. Deleted my save files and Re-Synced the save files back up.

    All of this after the Operators became unavailable so nothing here caused it in the first place. Say around 3 or 4 days ago these packages were working perfectly, I never changed anything, nothing ever updated, never removed anything, nothing changed. Just turned the game on and they were unavailable and needed to be bought with R6 Credits (Premium currency that cost real world money, not renown that can also buy these operators but one by one, not in bulk per year they released, which will take forever for me to do since I'm busy).

    I am specifically asking someone else who has had this issue AND FIXED IT! What did you do to fix it? And if you can answer this, what did I do to mess it up so I do not do it again?

    My first Xbox ever is digital only! Is there anything I should know?

    I have a terrible internet connection but I've still managed to download COD, Fallouts 4 and New Vegas (Fallout 3 is in progress), Minecraft, Banjo & Kazooie and others since last week with the game pass. Is the game pass worth keeping, especially since my console is digital only?

    Xbox One X Scorpio Edition fans are extremely loud on 4k games?

    I'm probably not the first one to ask, but is my xbox supposed to be *that* loud when playing games in 4k? It's literally perfectly ventilated next to a window and the outside is super cold, so it isn't overheating.

    Would I get a scorpio edition back if I sent it in to Microsoft?
