12 Days of Christmas giveaways - Day 5 Posted: 28 Dec 2019 08:07 PM PST Merry Christmas to all! In the spirit of St. Nicholas, I'm giving away a game a day for the next 12 days. These are all going to be digital codes from the U.S. Microsoft store, so I think you have to have your Xbox set to the U.S. to use them. Please leave a comment on this post if you want to be entered. I'll be back the following evening (U.S. Eastern time) to pick a winner randomly and make the next post. Dec 29 Today's gift is a little less mainstream: a choose-your-own-adventure horror game called Man of Medan. I have yet to play it but it looks really cool. [link] [comments]

Split screen games for me and my bro Posted: 28 Dec 2019 01:50 PM PST Howdy, Recently my bro has been getting into gaming and wants to play games with me. I am a PC gamer so I don't really know much about local coop. Could you guys recommend some good split screen games that we could play? All the ones I am finding are arcade like and he's not really into that. He's enjoys levelling up characters, looting, making a base and earning money. So far he's liked Borderlands, Red Dead, Outer Worlds and State Of Decay so anything similar would be grand. I'd appreciate any help you can give. Ta! [link] [comments]

Posted: 28 Dec 2019 09:41 PM PST I had an issue where Spotify was drowning out my game volume, when I had the volume slider to 5%, the lowest available setting in the mixer. Tried all volume setting on the Xbox and nothing would allow it to go any lower. Opened the Spotify app on my phone (same account). Turned the volume down further through my phone, worked like a charm! [link] [comments]
Posted: 28 Dec 2019 05:55 PM PST I have a standard Xbox One remote, the RB and LB buttons press down, but sometimes don't work at all or if I hold them down it will not respond for like half a second. I tried pulling the back off of the remote and messing it, but had no luck. Any help would be much appreciated [link] [comments]
Posted: 28 Dec 2019 02:47 PM PST So my Xbox one was stolen and I don't have the password to my account because I made the Outlook account years ago and never had to renter it. But my credit card information is on it still. Can the thief get that information? [link] [comments]
Posted: 28 Dec 2019 12:47 PM PST Okay so first and foremost as the base price of Games Pass Ultimate is so much more expensive than gold - $44.99 for three months vs $24.99 for three months; thus, this will save you minimally $80 per year that you do it for. With this, you can either get eight months of games pass ultimate for $2 or you can get as much gold as you want to buy upfront up to two years and nine months as you can only convert up to 36 months and you will get three months for $1 for $2 plus what you spend on additional XBL Gold cards. So, essentially you can get up to 41 months of games pass ultimate for $186.96 at retail, less if you use GameFlip, CDKeys, gift card exchange, etc. to get XBL Gold for cheaper. I, for example, managed to get two years of XBL Gold for about $72 when I bought my Xbox One X. So these are the steps you will take to maximize your Games Pass Ultimate. You can skip the trial Games Pass ultimate part if you have ever had Games Pass Ultimate before as the one that comes with a new Xbox is for new members only or maybe its for members who have never used a trial before but paid membership doesn't disqualify you, not sure. Step one: Redeem the one-month XBL Gold trial that came with your Xbox. Step two: Buy the one month of XBL Gold for $1. It will ask you to turn on auto-renew for another month for free, do that and then turn it off. Step three: Redeem the XBL Gold cards you bought, up to 33 months. Step four: Redeem the Games Pass Ultimate trial that came with your Xbox. This will convert all of your XBL Gold into Games Pass Ultimate, up to 36 months (after 36 months you will get, iirc, about 20 days per month of conversion; as opposed to, the 100% you get for the first 36 months). Step five: Buy the month of Games Pass Ultimate for $1. This will give you an additional four months as the deal is "buy one month for $1 and get an additional two months for free". If you turned off your autorenewal then you should get prompted to turn it back on for an additional free month. So, if you buy no additional XBL Gold cards you should get the two months from your trials, two months for buying XBL Gold for $1, and four months for buying Games Pass Ultimate for $1 netting you eight months of Games Pass Ultimate for $2. If you buy up to 33 months of XBL gold then you will get up to 41 months of Games Pass Ultimate for $2 plus whatever you spend on those XBL Gold cards (at most $184.96 if you buy two one year, a six month and a three-month membership at retail but could probably get all of it for less than $100 if you looked for good discounted codes from reputable sites) vs. the roughly $615 it would take to get 41 months of Games Pass Ultimate at retail. Do I need a base station and amp for Astro A50? Posted: 28 Dec 2019 09:19 PM PST Recently received Astro A50s(the white and yellow ones) that I'd like to use with my Xbox one. However, I only have the headset. Do I need the base station and amp in order to set these up or can I just plug them straight into the controller and use them if I have a cable that fits? Can't get my new Xbox One X to connect to my wireless network. Please help! Posted: 28 Dec 2019 08:52 AM PST Apparently it's the known glitch where it won't recognize the wifi password. I've tried the "hard reset" method over 20 times, and that seems to work for most people, but I haven't had success with it. I've also tried resetting my router multiple times and even changing my password then changing it back. I just bought this Xbox yesterday and there's no way I'll be able to return it. I'm also not able to use a wired connection due to the location of my router. Any tips would be greatly appreciated! [link] [comments]
[TECH] Android app won't disable achievement notifications.. Posted: 28 Dec 2019 11:38 AM PST Running current version of the app, there's a setting for checking/unchecking "Achievements" in the Notification area of settings but it apparently doesn't do anything. I've tried ticking and unticking, reticking and re-unticking, restarting app multiple times, etc. I still want notifications from messages and the like, just not an achievement every 20 minutes playing new games [link] [comments]
Headset not working with brand new Xbox One wireless controller Posted: 28 Dec 2019 07:51 AM PST Hi guys, I need some help. I got the gray/blue wireless Xbox One controller for Christmas, brand new from game stop, used it for one day with my headset (PDP Lvl 30) working perfectly fine. I've tried to use it the past two days and now there's no sound coming from the earpiece, yet the mic still works and I can still hear myself if I record/replay a voice message, but get no game sounds or anything. I've been using this headset for about 3 months now and it's never had a problem. I know it's not the headset becuse I can plug it into another controller and it works perfectly fine. Yes, this is an Xbox specific headset. I also have two other PDP brand controllers and the headset works fine with them. My roommate has an Elite controller and neither this headset nor my prior one (Afterglow lvl3) worked with it. Anyone know a fix? I've tried taking the batteries out and plugging the controller into the console directly: nada. The controller software is up to date as is the console. I'm sure the jack is fully plugged as well. I'd really like to use this controller, but not being able to use a headset with it kind of sucks. I don't think it's the headset but the controller themselves since this is now the second Xbox brand controller that has had this problem [link] [comments]
Posted: 28 Dec 2019 12:27 PM PST Ao i have been browsing different website (including wikihow microsoft website, etc) but their info is not helping my situation. I know my sensor is out of warranty for a long time (it was a Day One edition i pre-ordered on microsoft website) i checked if they could do something on Microsoft website but they doesn't even tell me if they can replace it at a price. Does anyone have a how to troubleshoot inside of the kinect instead of just "plug unplug duh"? Edit: stupid mobile typos [link] [comments] |
