    Just finished jsrf using the 360 backwards compatibility. My save file has a total of 20 hours of game play lol. ( this was before the final boss)

    360 E gets disconnected while downloading games

    Games that have already been downloaded work well, even cloud storage is working.

    Everything time I try downloading a game Xbox live gets disconnected needing a restart in order to get reconnected.

    I'm to scared to do a factory reset because I might not be able to download anything if I do.

    I would really like any help with this.

    My 320gb slim hard drive is almost completely full and I plan to install a couple of more games that will bring usable space to about 1gb. Is that ok? I know on PCs you always want to keep some empty space, but curious if there is any similar advantage on a 360.

    Hi, I posted here previously asking about the best way to setup my new (to me) console and I just wanted to thank everyone who helped out! I'm still a little confused on the different storage methods and was wondering if anyone could clarify.

    I was able to get a free 20 mb HDD from a local game store, which was super nice of them! So here's a breakdown of the storage I have now:

    Hard drive (7.8 gb free out of 20)

    Memory unit (22 mb free out of ?? Idk)

    Cloud saved games (2 mb free, idk how or why to use this)

    My main question is what exactly I can use an external hard drive for. Comments on my previous post were mixed on whether or not I could play games saved to an external drive or not. So if anyone has any input on that I would be so grateful! I want to get an external drive so that I don't need to delete and redownload games to save storage since I can't use discs. I only have one game right now (fallout 3, I'm already obsessed) so storage isn't an immediate concern but I'd like to get more sorted out as soon as I can!

    Again sorry if this is a dumb question, have never used a console really and want to know exactly what I'm getting into if I were to buy a large (1 tb) external hard drive. Thanks for your help! :)
