- Elite controller 2 P1 and P3 not clicking FIX! I applied a small piece of rubber from an old earphone onto the p1 and p3 buttons and this has fixed the non-clicking issue. I haven't glued them I just sat them on it.

| What to do about a warranty repair that wasn't fixed? Posted: 18 Jul 2021 01:23 PM PDT TL;DR - Sent my Xbox One X off to the Germany repair centre via a UK warranty support case but it still has the issue, even though the letter with it states it's had "rigorous hardware checks". I'm very late to the party in that I bought a Microsoft Refurbished Xbox One X back in October last year (this thing is pristine - basically as-new condition). About 2 months ago it developed a horrible whining (straining?) noise that occurs after about 2 hours of game play. This eventually results in screen blanking, crackly sound (which is sometimes apparent immediately) and eventual game freezes. I raised a ticket, jumped through the various hoops and followed it through the warranty repair steps on the site. I got it back last week but it still has the same issue. The updates during the process showed that they only worked on it for 90 minutes. What do you guys do in these situations? Should I just keep logging warranty tickets and sending it around the houses until they eventually fix it? Is there a special-secret helpline for when they just flat out return it with a "nah, it's fine, go away" letter? Should I admit defeat, throw this thing in the bin and cry into my pillow? I know it's only a One X but I feel I should be able to play on it for more than 2 hours when it's only 9 months in. [link] [comments] | ||

Im looking at getting another Xbox 360 in a few weeks time, and i have my eyes on the black Xbox 360 elite (purely because i think they look really cool) i know these dont have integrated wifi, thats fine, but i also know they have different hard drives to the later 360s. My question is, is my Back compat data stored on the internal hard drive, or is it stored on the external? I obviously cant check as my old console is completely dead. I know that you need the original Xbox drive to run back compat games, i just dont know if the saved data is stored on it aswell. I think it is. Thanks. [link] [comments] | ||
