Reliable solution to controller drifting Posted: 18 Dec 2019 01:27 PM PST My Xbox controller keeps drifting up on the left analog stick and on the d-pad. Any way to fix this without taking the controller apart or buying a new one? [link] [comments]

Xbox Series X forward compatible monitors Posted: 18 Dec 2019 09:39 AM PST Hey, I'm gonna buy the series x when it drops but need a monitor now. From my understanding, a 144hz monitor with 4k support and 1ms input lag will work for getting the most out of the series x. Is that right? Is there anything else I should consider if buying a monitor now for gaming? [link] [comments]
How does it feel to be the hot subreddit for next gen xbox? Posted: 18 Dec 2019 04:33 AM PST Seeing as how the Xbox series x is actuslly going to be called Xbox. Series x is the model name. Like how PS3 had slim and super slim but they were still ps3s, Xbox will launch winter 2020 and it will be model series X. [link] [comments]

Looking for PvP recommendations (non-shooter/non-racing) Posted: 18 Dec 2019 01:33 PM PST A friend and I are trying to find a game that we can enjoy playing together online. Most seem to be first person shooters or driving/racing games. What are some good games that we can play that might fit into this narrow definition? [link] [comments]
How do i set a picture saved on local storage as my background without using file explorer? Posted: 18 Dec 2019 01:32 PM PST Wish they didn't remove file explorer. I don't have a usb, phone or computer to use to do it [link] [comments]
Can’t access my account to change privacy settings Posted: 18 Dec 2019 01:13 PM PST So I want to play realms on Minecraft bedrock but I can't find any website to change my privacy settings to allow me to access my Xbox live account. Every time I click on the like to log in it takes me a support page about changing my privacy. I need help! This Xbox live account link automatically redirects me to this page [link] [comments]
Will local play (LAN?) work if router is not connected to internet? Posted: 18 Dec 2019 12:13 PM PST Some friends and I will be going on a trip where there will be no reliable wifi. I was wondering if someone brought a router, could we all connect our xbox's to it and get in a lobby together (modern warfare) and play against each other, even though the router wouldn't be connected to the internet. Upgrading from S to X? I know it's a common question but wait! Posted: 18 Dec 2019 12:12 PM PST Hi guys, I've already have a good search through old threads before posting here - therefore, this isn't a mindless re-post. Just getting that in there before people start complaining! It's quite common for people to ask if they think it's worth upgrading to the Xbox One X from an Xbox One S IF THEY ONLY HAVE A 1080p screen. I haven't often seen it asked if it is worth upgrading from the Xbox One S to Xbox One X if THEY DO HAVE a 4k screen. I have a 4k TV with HDR and an Xbox One S. I know that the S upscales to 4k, so I'm very curious if it's worth trading in my Xbox One S (+ a couple of games) towards an X and paying £100 more. How much better is the X on a 4k TV than the S? How 'good' is the upscaling? Thanks in advance. [link] [comments]
No Internet Connection on Xbox One S Posted: 18 Dec 2019 11:19 AM PST Hey, guys. I really need help. I bought and Xbox one S secondhand and it has worked great for over a year. I have had no problems connecting to the internet (wireless or wired) until recently. My Xbox is the only tech in my house that can't connect. Phones, laptops, Roku, PS4, etc. all connect and use the internet fine. It's just the Xbox. I have tried every Xbox support suggestion and YouTube tutorial I could find. hard resets, resetting router, plugging in directly to the router, resetting the MAC thing, etc. I've done everything short of calling xbox support because, from information I've gathered, they'll just charge me some $150 to fix a problem that I don't believe I caused. I finally went for a factory reset. Put all my stuff on a hard drive, pressed the power button while I held down the pairing and ejection button and reset/erased everything. Now my Xbox is in its initialization stage and it STILL won't connect to the internet, which I believe is necessary for setup. Now, I'm not just without an internet connection. I pretty much don't even have an Xbox at all. Anyone else having this issue? Do I need to replace my WiFi card or something? Am I just screwed? Any help is appreciated. Hopefully this can help other people with these issues. Tl:dr factory reset my Xbox due to internet connection issues (and after trying pretty much EVERYTHING) and STILL can't connect to internet to re-initialize my console. [link] [comments]
Posted: 18 Dec 2019 01:11 AM PST My friends list or online/offline friends list does not show on my xbox one. It does however show on my iphone xbox app. If I search for a specific user on my xbox it shows that we are friends. Also I get notified of favorite friends coming online, yet when I pull up the list it shows nothing. Not all are offline, literally nothing, no friends. I have done hard resets, deleted my profile and signed back in twice. I can't find anything on the internet that gives a solution other than the aforementioned. Neither does it seem anyone else has struggled with this problem recently. Any mention of similar issues are dated a few years ago. I need a solution please... [link] [comments]
Need help finding an xbox live game from my childhood Posted: 18 Dec 2019 06:05 AM PST Hi guys, first time here. I am trying to find a game I remember playing when I was a kid. The game was definitely on the original xbox and I remember only playing it online. I am not sure if it was exclusively online or not, but I remember only playing it online. It was towards the beginning of the xbox online era but I am not sure of the year. I remember the game being sort of a free-for-all battle royale style game. You could play as all sorts of of ugly creatures or people. I vaguely remember a penguin and a blonde haired girl, almost doll-like, being a playable character. The levels that you fought on were weird. One of the was a garden and I think one of them was like a kitchen counter top. You would run around the stage and pick up items that you would use to kill the other players. Two of the items I remember was a spatula and a rocket launcher. The art style looked like one of those discount nickelodeon games. That's all I got. I remember holding the gigantic original xbox controller and putting on the headset that came with Live. This was my first online experience and it was so fun. I just wish I could remember the name. [link] [comments]

Xbox 360 Backwards Compatibility Issues Posted: 18 Dec 2019 09:25 AM PST Okay, so I've been trying to play my limited collector edition metal case copy of Halo 2 on my 360 lately, as I no longer own an original xbox, and I've had zero success. It recognizes the disc as Halo 2, but won't play when selected. I googled and found a backwards compatibility patch with a file called "default.xex"; instructions said to run it via a burned disc, but this has just resulted in a "mixed media disc" that can't be played either. I tried doing it via USB, but this just triggered a bottom-right red ring error. I checked my system info, and have the "(BK:2.0.1888.0)" segment that is supposed to denote backwards compatibility apparently, but it still doesn't want to work. My 360 is a white model I got in 2009 with a grey 250GB HDD on the top, the hard drive it came with when purchased brand new, so I can only assume the hard drive is official, so that's not the problem either. Anyone got any ideas? I'm stumped. [link] [comments]
Posted: 18 Dec 2019 09:12 AM PST My game collection has grown pretty large and I'm starting to realize how few filters there are for searching your games. The ones that are there aren't even very useful (like Xbox one/360 games/X advanced) But the items in the store already have other tags.. Do you have any idea how helpful it would be to be able to instantly find all my games that are 4 player local multiplayer? Now I'm stuck just using groups, which I have to constantly add games to and manually alphebatize. Come on guysssss [link] [comments]
Posted: 18 Dec 2019 12:02 AM PST Hey guys, newcomer here. So I decided to buy myself an Xbox One X over PS4 Pro this Christmas mainly for the power, couldn't care less about the exclusives since the games I wanted only The Witcher 3, RDR2 and FFXV for now. But I'm on dilemma about picture quality of my games later. The thing is, I just bought a 40 inch FHD (1080p). This thing is HUGE (quite shocked when it arrived), and I'm afraid with display this big yet only support FHD will make the game look horrible, is this will be the case? Played Nintendo Switch docked on it looks okay to me considering the power of Switch, but I don't know about Xbox One X. Kinda old model TV. Any opinions or suggestions will be greatly appreciated. This will be my first ever Xbox console and I can't wait, even though I know Xbox Series X will be released which I'll definitely get it in the future. Thanks! [link] [comments]
