    Prior to last year, appearing offline wasn't that big of an issue. You could set your status to "offline", and to those who follow you, it would display when you were "last seen". Now, anyone who follows you will immediately know if you're intentionally appearing offline due to the fact that your status will instantly change to just "offline".

    There are many times where I'll get home late from school/work, or just not be in the mood to play with others. Sometimes I just want to relax and play a game by myself without being bombarded with invites, or upsetting my friends because they think I'm ignoring them, or that I don't want to play with them.

    It would be nice if Microsoft could revert the status system back to how it used to be, or implement a way for you to appear offline only for certain people. Instead of it just changing your status to "offline", they could make it so you can choose who to appear offline to, and for them, your status will just say "last seen ______" like it used to.

    Is an Xbox 360 still worth buying in 2021?

    I never owned an Xbox console. With the backward compatibility of Xbox One and Series X/S, is it still worth buying an Xbox 360? Or the next generation consoles can run all the must play and exclusive titles? I have PS1 through PS4.

    If an Xbox 360 is worth buying what is the exact reason for that?

    Hey there. So I bought an Xbox One X (yeah I know, but the Series X is still unobtanium and my current Xbox One died. So it'll still be a nice upgrade) and was shipped a European model instead of US. I'm having some difficulty resolving this with the shipper (I still have a few levers left to use though) and I'm wondering if it's worth the hassle.

    The box is still factory sealed. I know it will have a euro-plug but I have no trouble sourcing a US cord (it actually uses the smaller nema standard).

    I've read that in general the Xbox One is not region locked, but I'm just wondering if, other than the power cord, there are any "gotcha's" I'm not thinking of.

    Put another way, can I be rest assured that basically my console will be exactly the same as if it were a US one, once I change the region? Or will there be lingering differences?

    Best Setup/Wiring Help!

    Just got a series X and am not sure if I should wire it directly to my Samsung QLED or go through my Yamaha receiver. Receiver is 4K atmos, tv passes sound to it via hdmi (arc). What is best for quality/lag etc? Any help is hugely appreciated I'm a newb setting this up for my kids as a surprise.

    Do you know the feeling, when yesterday everything worked perfectly fine and today nothing works? xd I've cleaned the disc like 10 times and this just keeps coming, I even restarted the console.. Yesterday I just put it in and it worked :(

    To fix or replace controller

    I have a controller where the rubber is cracked and coming off of the thumb stick. Can I get replacement rubber or should I trade the controller (Xbox one) in while it still works and purchase a series X controller. My concern is that the thumb stick may wear out not far down the road and then I would I have spent money on the rubber and have a worthless controller to trade in.

    Finished Halo Combat Evolved the other day, and here are some of my thoughts/opinions about the game!

    So the title says it all. I just finished the campaign for Halo: Combat Evolved, playing on my Xbox 360 with the original disc. I'll break down some of my thoughts about the game, so here it goes.

    First off, I take into consideration when games were released. Obviously, I can't compare games released in 2001 to games released in today's time due to hardware, better technology, etc. But I have to admit, for a game released in 2001, Halo: Combat Evolved has held up quite well over the years.

    Compared to other FPS games from around this time period (on consoles), I think Halo: Combat Evolved definitely was a step in the right direction for the fps genre as a whole. For me, I think the original Xbox's controller design was probably the first thing that comes into my mind. While I am a huge Nintendo fan, playing Call of Duty on the Nintendo Gamecube with that controller is a total nightmare because of the small c-stick.

    The gameplay is fantastic, and I can definitely tell it was a strong foundation. The core mechanics of Halo: Combat Evolved are simple, but they are done so well that I felt like compared to other console FPS games at the time, Halo was definitely above them all.

    Campaign wise, my biggest gripe is the very swift transition from Covenant to Flood. At one point, you are fighting the Covenant, and then all of sudden, the game becomes about the Flood, and it seems like they just shoved the Covenant off to the side. You do see them sometimes in other parts of the game, but they kind of take a back seat to the entire game.

    Another thing about the campaign that most people know about is that they reused pretty much everything. In doing so, the second half of the game seemed to drag on for quite some time. I didn't ever think I was going to finish that last level because that driving part was stressful.

    The only thing that I think that hasn't aged well is the frame rate during certain parts of the game. At some points, it felt like it was dipping down into the teens and well... let's just say it looked like a slow motion action shot LOL

    But overall, I had a great experience with the game. I could have played the version on the Master Chief Collection on my PC, but I feel that sometimes when I play games that have been enhanced, it takes away some of the charm. But Halo: Combat Evolved has held up quite well over the past 2 decades.

    I'm looking forward to playing the other Halo games as well! I played Halo 2 a lot growing up, but I'm looking forward to playing every Halo game, as most of them are in my backlog of games that I want to finish sometime in the near future!
