    Controller Drift

    So I bought an Xbox controller last week and used it for a total of 50+ hours already.

    I thought it was just my mind playing tricks on me but the left stick is having a "drift" when I move it to the left then stops when I move it to the right. I have no problem when I'm going to the right so do you guys think there's a fix for this still? And yeah I contacted Xbox support earlier, still waiting for a reply.

    P.S. I tried the q-tip+alcohol 'fix', but it only went OK for a couple of mins then the drifting came back again.

    My xbox 360 e is knackered but I want to keep the hard drive. Can I use a slim/e hdd on a phat model like this without formatting or clearing the drive?

    For the last year, I've been keeping my white (but HDMI) 360 at my friend's house. He and his siblings grew up on Nintendo, so I've been introducing them to the more "hardcore" and just classic but also obscure 360 games, and it's been a blast! They've really been enjoying Rage, Tomb Raider 2013, Condemned, Fable II, Banjo Kazooee N&B, and I've started a new file on Mass Effect as I've never beaten it. The games still look great! I even got a few Halo 3 matches in using my XB1 Gold account! I want more online games to play haha.

    Several(?) issues with used 360 s 4GB

    If this isn't the right place for this, I apologize. Never been too good with social media.

    So I recently came into posession of my first 360, from a friend who'd got it new and used it thoroughly since about 2013. Several years ago this problems arose, and he put a bodge on it to make it useable, which is what i'm working with now. I beleive the hard drive is corrupt or something, but i'm not able to find much info online that lines up with my exact issues, or only mentions one at a time.

    Firstly, the console cannot connect to Xbox Live. When I set up the internet, it "works" but won't connect to Live, and then any further connection tests get stuck on connecting to Live until the console crashes.

    Secondly, It prompts to update when booted up, but the update always fails, presumably because it cannot connect to Xbox Live, however even using a USB drive to update the console fails as well.

    Finally, the console cannot hold any data. The onboard memory appears with 2.9 GB free in the storage menu, but trying to create a profile doesn't do anything, I get stuck on the name entry forever. And all the games I've tried just say that saving is disabled.

    The bodge is just to stick a USB in it, and save the profiles and save data to that instead, but I would like to get it conncted to Xbox Live to install updates and sync acheivements and all that good stuff. Is the hard drive corrupt and would replacing it fix this, or is there a less invasive fix I haven't tried yet? I'll answer any questions in the comments. Thank you all in advance.

    Burnout 3 Takedown: Backwards Compatibility on Xbox 360 S?

    I just picked up a 360 S along with a copy of one of my old favorites, Burnout 3: Takedown. I get an error message indicated that the title is not backwards compatible. I may be crazy, but I distinctly remember playing it many moons ago on my buddy's 360 (white, original). What am I missing?

    Halo 3: ODST achievement help

    Would anyone be interested in helping me get the last two achievements I need to complete Halo 3: ODST on the 360? I need Endure and Deja Vu. Both of these achievements require four players on Xbox Live.

    The achievement descriptions are below:

    Endure: In Firefight, on any mission, pass the 4th Set on 4-player Heroic LIVE co-op.

    Deja Vu: Complete Coastal Highway on 4-player Legendary LIVE co-op, with Iron, and no 'Hog or Scorpion.

    Some info about me:

    My Gamertag is JakeulusMaximus. I live in the Eastern US time zone. I do not have a mic (which I know would make these achievements much easier). My Halo skill level is fairly high. I am able to complete every games campaign on legendary solo. I was able to get 200,000 points on all of the Halo 3: ODST firefight maps playing solo on normal. It took me about a hour and a half on each map. I'm pretty decent at multiplayer too. I'm willing to share my phone number with whoever wants to do this so we can set it up and communicate via text.

    The research I have done online says that ONI: Alpha Site is the best for Endure. Which I would agree that it is the easiest firefight map. I also saw where you can get mongooses and rocket launchers on Coastal Highway which makes it much easier.

    As repayment, I am willing to help the three people who help me get any achievements you want on any of the 360 Halo games.

    Comment below if anyone is interested! If not I understand, these achievements may be a grind.

    Xbox 360 freezes when starting specific game

    When I insert the disc of Fifa Street on my Xbox 360, it freezes when pressing start to play the game. The game did used to work on the same Xbox. Therefore, I bought a new disc from eBay. It worked fine on my other Xbox (360 e) but when I put it in the original 360, the exact same thing happened and it froze at the same point. Can anyone help me?
