    Got a great one X for cheap, with a caveat

    I got a one x off facebook for 150$, the guy was honest and said it was going into a troubleshooting screen. I figured I'd take a whack at it and maybe change the hard drive if need be. Day it gets here I do a full reset and it starts normal and plays, I'm like oh I guess it was just a bad update or something. But a couple days later it resets again to the troubleshooting screen, and I reset it but keep everything, and it works again.

    Now I've been playing it a ton and resetting it and keeping the games maybe once a week, maybe twice lol. I do think it needs a new drive, possibly some thermal paste though it doesn't act overheated who knows (error 105), but it works fine after a 10 minute reset so I'm actually finding it hard to care enough to open it up.

    My only qualm is sometimes viva pinata freezes and it corrupted one of my saves, even onto the cloud save. But for 150$ i got a nice viva pinata peggle machine, with some caveats haha.

    I mostly wanted to share the story, but also if anyone has advice to make it not need a reset randomly please share lol, im leaning towards new drive.

    Power supply staying orange when trying to turn on Xbox one

    So I have been having an issue for about 6 months where my console doesn't turn on when I try to and the brick just stays orange. I used to fix it where I could unplug any external wires (hard drive, controller cable) and it would turn on and it was fine. Now, when I try to do that the brick just stays orange and doesn't go white no matter what I try. I've done the basics like unplugging it for a while, doing a power supply reset, basically anything I could've tried I did and still no luck. I know that the outlet is fine and that the power brick is most likely the issue, but I'm looking for a temporary alternative to get it to turn on so I can use it for now. Because I haven't had any issue once I have the console powered on, I just need something to get it running.

    Metro Exodus New Game+ on Series X not available?

    I have finished the game on one x back when it released and wanted to play the game again on new game+ to experience the enhancements, but while I can replay every chapter and watch the finale again, I cannot start a new game+? Has anyone managed to do that, because It only let's me start a completely new game.

    Notification popped for Dead Island Definitive, I do not own it.

    So I was away from the console and it dims the screen partially after a while.

    Anyways I was walking back into the room and I hear the achievement noise pop and by the time I was able to glance it, what with the screen being dim and I have a stupid screen saver thing bouncing around next to it I noticed it said something about Dead Island Definitive.

    Now I do not own this game and further more I went to my messages/notifications to see if it went there, but no.

    Anybody else have this issue?

    Can't export my Mass Effect 1 char to Mass Effect 2 in Xbox retrocompatibility

    So, I've downloaded every ME game some days ago and finished the first game today, then, when selected my ME1 char, the game says that "A sign-in change occurred" and then I get back to the main menu.

    Controller Jack issue

    Whenever i plug my wired earphones/over ear headphones into the controllers headphone jack, the audio isnt clear , it keeps breaking in between. Thought i had faulty jacks on both controllers , but turns out this only happens when im playing with wifi turned on. Any fixes ?

    Destiny 2 not converting to HDR10

    Literally every other game and/or streaming service that is HDR compatible automatically switches to HDR. Rocket League, Madden, Netflix and anything listed as HDR compatible is recognized and switches, and I get the TV'S message in the top right hand corner that it is now in HDR mode. Except Destiny.

    I've looked all over the web and can't find any fixes or reasons for this. There are fixes for the in-game HDR settings issue but not for lack of recognition and enabling. All of my settings and specs are correct on both the Xbox and my TV.

    I've tried everything, even uninstalling and reinstalling the game... nada. If the problem also affected other games I wouldn't be sweating it so much but it's only happening for Destiny, the game I play most.

    Any advice or thoughts would be much appreciated. Thanks y'all!

    Newly purchased disc will not launch on Xbox One

    Just purchased Skyrim SE. It was not a used product. However, my Xbox One will not launch it in order to install. I have tried many different solutions to no avail, but some I am unable to perform as I have never played the game and therefore cannot uninstall, have no data to clear or mods to remove.

    Other discs still work just fine. Is this a common Skyrim problem? I see a lot of issues from not being able to launch saved games but this is not my issue.

    Xbox series s full shutdown question

    Is it ok to fully shutdown the series s after each day I'm finished with it as opposed to instant on mode or will fully shutting it down lower the lifespan of the system itself because of fully powering it on once a day. Will it affect the ssd or cooling fan at all more than what instant on would?

    Xbox One Fat Power Brick Fan Problem

    Hi guys,

    recently i'm having a problem with my power supply fan, it was stuck due to excessive dirt so i cleaned it up and put it back to work, but now i can't hear any sound coming from the power supply, i don't know if it's working or not, my xbox one works normally but i'm afraid the power supply might overheat. Buying a new one is out of the question since besides being hard to find it is still very expensive.

    Is there any way to solve this problem without spending a lot? since the power supply is working at first, the only problem is the fan...

    Was playing some Skyrim and my xbox one s froze and turned off, when i turned it back on my tv now says no signal even though the Xbox is on, I flipped the humidity cable around, tried a new one (it's in the right port). I held the button for 5 seconds to reset it, then I held it for 20 seconds till I heard the beep, it still isn't working. Lately my xbox has been crashing a lot and freezing, it's 5 years old. Any ideas, it also makes this weird buzzing noise now.
