Can't play my downloaded games because I can't get into my account (PLEASE HELP)

    Posted: 21 Apr 2021 08:46 PM PDT

The account was made by a family member for me when I was very young, they have since passed away and years later I'm going back and trying to play my old games again. I can't get into my account because it keeps asking me for an email (which I know) and password. I figured out that if I press the big X while it's trying to sign me in that I can sign in offline. Still, 98% of my games won't work. I should mention they're all on a 250GB hard drive. Is there something I can do to my 360 so I can play them offline? Could I call Microsoft and have them switch the email to my own? Or am I simply shit out of luck? Would appreciate any help, thanks.

When copying games via USB to upgraded HDD became available?

    Posted: 21 Apr 2021 08:01 PM PDT

So, my 250 GB original HDD started to gave out on me. At first, some games would freeze on loadings, for seconds or even minutes at a time. Then, the games list sometimes loaded, sometimes don't. Then the console was taking forever to boot and games list wouldn't load at all.

Yesterday I bought a 500 GB WD HDD, followed MrMario tutorial and now I have a perfectly working system again. Since I don't have the transfer cable, I hooked up an usb flashdrive and, when selecting stuff to transfer, I saw that I could select the games, all of them.

So, naturally I selected Scott Pilgrim, transfer from og hdd to usb, then hooked the new hdd, transfer from usb to hdd and, sure enough, there it was.

All searches that I've done said that that wasn't possible, that only saved data was transferable, and games had to be downloaded all over again. Scott Pilgrim specifically is one of the searches that returns more results on the subject, from people saying that if it is lost, it is lost for good.

Hence the question: when did that became possible?

I have a ton of these old Xbox 360 rechargeable batteries...anyone know if there's a way to get them to hold charge again? They are probably 5-10 years old, depending on the battery.

Controller is drifting. Does anyone have a quick and easy fix?

    Posted: 21 Apr 2021 07:03 AM PDT

On the dashboard, the controller works fine, but in actual games, it starts to drift. Any help? EDIT: The bottom part of the d-pad isn't working either.

Would anyone here happen to know how to get around region locking on 360? I want to try it just for 1 game in a video im planning on doing

    Posted: 21 Apr 2021 12:34 PM PDT

Hey there everyone! So I have a game in my possession that id like to get some hands on footage from but unfortunately, its a Japanese game that im pretty sure doesn't have any backwards compatibility and is region locked. What I am trying to play is Gundam: Operation Troy. It was an online game that was basically a mash up of Gundam meets Battlefield with infantry, vehicle and mobile suit combat in huge battlefields. While im sure the game is long since dead, I want to get the chance to play through the various 'tutorial' missions the game offered offline to play and maybe see if I can pop in a server solo and show some of the game a bit further for a video I'm looking to do. Problem is... Yeah, region locking.

To my understanding, the only ways around this are: -buy a japan xbox 360 which is looking to be about $160 ish... Ouch. -JTAG it, which i dont know much of anything about but it looks like hard modding it and would require extra parts and soldering skills. -or a Dev kit 360 which bypasses all region locking. Also pricey by the looks of it. Probably the most expensive in fact.

Is that really all the alternatives that there is?

Fair Price for a Used XBox 360?

    Posted: 21 Apr 2021 04:50 AM PDT

I want to buy a used XBox 360 off of eBay, but the prices are all over the place. What is a fair price, and what should I be looking for when I look at these listings, other than making sure that the seller says it's been tested and works? And should I get a 360 E, since that's the most "recent" model? TIA for your answers. <3
