| Posted: 08 Mar 2020 08:51 AM PDT So I got my Elite Series 2 from Target a few days ago, and I have to be honest, my whole mindset was that a controller is just a controller and chances are I will just end up returning it after a few days, so I really bought it just out of sheer curiosity on what a $200 controller is actually like, every intention of returning it. Wow. Absolutely blown away. I play a lot of online games (play lots of single player also) I play Gunfight in COD, Siege, MK11, Gears 5 and Halo Guardians. Let me just tell you right now, in COD/gunfight, I went from being pretty good, to now being a beast. With a regular Xbox one controller, my star line typically was 7 kills/5 losses, now I'm easily 8/4, 9/3, even 10/2 on occasions. Siege, I went from getting killed almost instantly, to now atleast having 3-5 kills and almost always positive k/d (I know that doesn't matter in siege but still) MK11, I honestly don't notice a difference, Halo 5 definitely notice a positive difference, Gears 5, not much difference. If you play COD MW or Siege, Buy this controller now! Eat ramen noodles for a month, do what you have to do, but buy it! [link] [comments] | ||

| Posted: 08 Mar 2020 10:29 AM PDT I got an xbox one controller recharge stand with some batteries so I can charge the controller without harm to the usb, but the battery itself does not last more than thirty seconds, but instantly goes back up to full once I put it on the stand. After power cycling and restarting the console's wireless hardware it still failed to work. My controller would also not reconnect wirelessly after restarting the console's wireless hardware either. Unfortunately I am on a community WiFi so I am unsure on my access to make sure that my router isn't filtering out the MAC address. I thought I was miss clicking the times but I went to record and hit record last minute and it only recorded the last 10-20 seconds multiple times. Is there any way to fix this? I went through and deleted some clips to see if it was because I had too many but it's still doing the same thing. Posted: 08 Mar 2020 11:09 AM PDT Was playing this morning, went to make some food, came back about 30 minutes later and the Xbox just wouldn't turn on at all. I tried a different power cable, tried different plug sockets, even tried it in another room but there's just no response at all when I press the power button. Apparently it's out of warranty so the cost is £170 to repair officially and the advice from a Microsoft advisor was to "buy a new console" or to "ask a local technician" if I'm unhappy with that. | I'm glad I tried out Crackdown 3 Posted: 08 Mar 2020 09:16 PM PDT So I just got the credits after about 11 hours playtime. This was my first game in the Crackdown series so I didn't have any prior experience but held off playing it this long from all the negative reception when it released. It has its problems but at the end of the day I had fun. Its a game where the hours go by really quickly as the general game play loop is quite addictive. Destroy enemy base, platform giant puzzle tower, chase agility orbs which i didn't think would be so dam addictive, blow shit up so on. Its simple, its chaotic and its video game fun. If you have Game Pass just give it a go. I'm waiting for Ori to release this week and didn't want to jump into another big game before hand so I thought I'd give it a crack. I'm glad I did. | Xbox One S Failed to Install Error Posted: 08 Mar 2020 01:21 PM PDT So i've reset my xbox to FS because all games etc. in the queue when downloading digitally, are reaching certain points in the download and then saying 'Failed to Install' and stopping. If I connect to my mobile hotspot, the games continue installing but since I don't have unlimited data I cannot continue doing this. | Xbox One intermittent fan control issues causing overheat power-down. Posted: 08 Mar 2020 10:37 AM PDT First post here; I'll make it quick! Over the last two weeks I have had issues with the fan randomly coming on and off. It turns on during heavy gameplay usually, but sometimes it turns off. The console has only been used actively for maybe a months worth of time. I have take it apart to inspect the fan (used to cleaning them on the 360 and PC) but it's mint. No dust and it spins freely and with zero resistance. Like no dust at all. It seems very sporadic when it decides to kick on and off, and it frequently is causing it to turn off due to overheat protection. I've looked around but not seeing any similar issues. The fan works fine if you supply it power standalone, is there a component that could be bad that's causing it to not turn on/off at the right moments? I will say, since day one it has NEVERE turned off, as in if the console was on the fan was blasting. I thought it was a problem but i read a lot of things from people who just told me the fan is always on if the console is on. Maybe an internal thermostat? Thank you! [link] [comments] | ||

| Question about my Xbox one (OG) Posted: 08 Mar 2020 07:21 PM PDT So I have recently got my internet upgraded to a pretty fast speed around 350 download and 20 upload but my Xbox one has recently been lagging pretty bad in online games. I've done a bunch of internet speed tests on my Xbox and for some reason my Xbox is only picking up around an average of 60 download and 8 upload that's not even half of what I'm paying for. However my other non gaming devices are picking up 300 download and 20 upload on average which is fine. So I'm just wondering why my Xbox is not picking up even half my speeds I'm paying for.
