Is there an option to automatically mute TV sound after connecting headphones? (XSX) Posted: 03 Mar 2021 11:32 AM PST I guess that the title is pretty self-explanatory. I've been really surprised when I found out that after connecting headphones to my gamepad the sounds is still coming out of TV speakers; headphones do work, but the TV does not go silent. It is possible to manually mute TV with a remote, but I suppose there's an option to do it automatically - I just don't know how to turn it on. I am using Xbox Series X. [link] [comments]

The reason I love my Xbox is that it's great value for money, and I don't mean Gamepass... Posted: 03 Mar 2021 05:41 AM PST ...I mean Microsoft Rewards. In the last year, I have got the following games for free: Homefront: The Revolution Tomb Raider Definitive Edition Rise of the Tomb Raider Control Ultimate Edition Resident Evil Triple Pack (RE4, RE5 & RE6) Bioshock The Collection Assassins Creed 4 Black Flag Star Wars Battlefront 2 Prince of Persia The Forgotten Sands Thief Bulletstorm Onrush Far Cry 3 Titanfall 2 Far Cry Classic Star Wars Episode 1 Racer All of these, for free! I had a couple of purchases that arrived on Gamepass not long after purchase (Control and Battlefront 2), but that is just the way things go. For those of you who don't know, Microsoft Rewards is a loyalty programme where you earn points for carrying out tasks (Bing searches, completing tasks in games, unlocking achievements etc) and you can use the points to purchase Xbox store credit. You could even save up and purchase a Series X! It isn't a big money spinner, I earn about £10-£15 a month but it's free money! I also own a PS4 but rarely buy anything but exclusives on that console because I begrude spending actual money on games. Gamepass plus Rewards has got me fully on the Xbox train. Xbox needs a team specifically tasked on addressing mouse and keyboard adapters. Posted: 03 Mar 2021 12:44 AM PST Based on my research either no one or virtually no one has been banned for this even though it is one of the main ways people cheat on console. [link] [comments]
Posted: 03 Mar 2021 09:22 AM PST my rb wont register everytime I click it nothing happens. I can still press it like normal but nothing happens. I even tried blowing air into it and configuring the buttons but that didn't work either. [link] [comments]
So how would I record the original xbox? Posted: 03 Mar 2021 09:13 AM PST I have a Elgato HD60 S and I also have an AVerMedia LGP Lite. I currently have an xbox scart lead but I also have the RCA cable too. I bought a video converter but it doesn't seem to work so that was a waste. Basically I want to know the easiest most cost efficient way to record the OG Xbox. If anyone has any ideas let me know. Thank you. [link] [comments]
Xbox Series S Review: Nostalgia for how consoles used to be. Posted: 03 Mar 2021 12:50 PM PST I'll start this review out by saying I'm kind of a hardware snob, I like having the best of the best, when I have a PC I like using the best and latest components, when I have a console I like having the most powerful one I can get, which is why when I decided to get the Series S it was kind of like a throwback for me. Back in the day when consoles weren't just PCs in a box I would always be fascinated by how such weak hardware could punch above its weight so much, the Series S made me think of this again and so I gave it a shot and a few months in I still have that same wonder but I still feel like it's full potential is a ways off. I'll start off by saying the system (like all current gen consoles) feels like it could have been delayed into late this year or early next year, the interface took away a lot of that "new system feel" since its the same as last generation. And the lack of support for certain hardware features, which in the case of the Series S is AMDs FidelityFX upscaling, make the system less appealing at the moment. For those who don't know FidelityFX is AMDs answer to Nvidia's DLSS AI upscaling. If it works in a similar fashing I feel like Microsoft was banking on this being the secret sauce for the Series S. They said it was a 1440P gaming box and when FidelityFX hits the scene I think they'll more or less me able to stick to that promise but right now it makes the system look less than desirable. Now we come to games, right now there aren't a lot of games that are optimized for series S and X and those that are seem to be centered more around the X version with seemingly more effort put into those versions, this isn't necessarily surprising since developers will usually target the system with the biggest install base but it's still a bit of a letdown. Added onto that is the fact the system isn't quite powerful enough to run Xbox One X versions of the game in backwards compatibility, it's very close to being able to but isn't quite there so it has to run Xbox One base versions of the games which is in my opinion a waste. Now the plus side to this is that every game is pretty much locked at its target framerate but I feel like they could do a lot more. Microsoft is currently working on things like framerate doubling which doubles the framerate of some games from 30 to 60 and in some cases 60 to 120 but I would also like to see them add in a resolution multiplier for Xbox One games like they have for 360 and original Xbox games if it's possible. In conclusion, I like the Series S, and I do think it has a lot of potential a year or two down the line when Microsoft implements all the next gen features they want to, as of right now though I wouldn't be in a rush to get the system (or any current system for that matter) if you're okay with 1080P and you enjoy interesting technology like I do, with the potential of being good as development for it is ironed out then this system is for you, or if you've been happy with an original Xbox One or a One S last gen you'll probably be happy as well. My suggestion though is to wait, wait and see how the system holds up when it becomes more available and then decide if it's what you want. [link] [comments]
