| Mic Monitoring not working on New Xbox Wireless Headset Posted: 17 Mar 2021 09:29 AM PDT Got my new heatset yesterday and everything is great, however, for the life of me I can't get the Mic Monitoring to work at all... I've messed with all the settings and even tried doing a reset, still nothing. My friend got one yesterday too and he's having the same issue. When we were playing together we can hear eachother great (so the Mic is working) but neither of us can hear ourselves, even with the Mic Monitoring set to the highest setting. My friends got me a $100 gift card for Xbox that I've been saving, I did spend $20 already on it but I can cover for the rest of my costs, currently I have the turtle Beach recon 70, which were $40, I've had them for a while now and they are show signs of wearing out, for example the cord can make static noise when it's in a certain position. I currently have a wired Corsair he-60 pro that uses usb for my pc, and the hyperx cloud flight x for my series x. Would love to just use the new Xbox headset for both. It able to be used as a pc headset off Bluetooth, and to the Xbox issuing its signal. Or will the adapter be needed for real gaming on Pc, or is it mainly just audio in? Any input or resources to help me would me much appreciated. Thanks! TL;DR: I'm looking to replace my HS-60 pro, and Hyperx Cloud Flight x, with the new Xbox headset. Is there any way to cast ONLY the video from an app like YouTube or netflix to my Xbox one but keep the audio playing from my phone? I usually plug a pair of headphones into my controller when watching stuff, but one of them has decided to break. So I'm wondering if I can use my wireless earphones with my phone but cast a film/video to my Xbox? Or is there even a way to connect my wireless earphones to my Xbox? Appreciate any help! When I was unwrapping it from the black protective sheet it generated a charge and I zapped my finger to one of the ports on the back of the console. I tested the ports that I could (can't test the expansion slot) and all seems to be ok. So I reckon my question is: Does the Series X have built-in ESD protection for the ports on the back of the console and should I be worried about any damage that may have occurred? Thank you!
