    Can't select 1080p ..?

    Hi ! A friend of mine offered me an old Xbox 360, free of charge. Being the very first model, it has no HDMI port, so I just bought an AV to composite/YUV cable. I was setting everything up, but I'm having a problem here. When I select 1080p, the console displays a preview of what the video looks like with these settings and checks if I am okay with them, although, when I press "Yes", my TV screen flashes (black) and goes back to the old 480p settings.

    Any suggestion on what I did wrong ? Could I somehow fix this ? How come the console can display a perfect 1080p preview but not keep these settings afterwards ..?

    Any way to get rid of the drift without opening the controller?

    I don't wanna mess up my controller because I don't know what I'm doing, so is there a way to fix it from the outside? I saw a video where a guy gives his xbox one controller a thorough clean and it got rid of the drift, so I tried it with my 360 controller and it worked. The the drift came back. Any help?

    Best co-op games to play with friends (kinect)

    I rarely use my console for single player games. Most likely i play on it with friends co-op, lately we played dance central and had so much fun the whole day.

    Can you recommend me other multiplayer/ co-op/ round based kinect games? If you have some non kinect games we really need to try, feel free to answer them aswell, but mainly i look for kinect games.

    Need Help(NFL 2K5 won't work)

    Hey, so just got a copy of NFL 2k5, and I am trying to play it. List says it's backwards compatible. Got a Microsoft Hard drive as I have the slim 4G model. I believe it's also fully updated (xbox360) as I just updated it. I really don't know the cause. Thanks.

    Ight. I'm shit at technology so I'm sorry if it's super obvious. I've got some issues. The xbox will do hdmi through the TV downstairs but won't through the TV in my room. It won't show but will hide everything else plugged Into the HDMI (Xbox in HDMI1 xyz in HDMI2 and it won't show HDMI2 or HDMI1).

    I'm currently running it through scart until I can sort it. Also I can perform updates on live and System updates but I can't log into my live account, it keeps Saying the password is wrong even though I used the exact same one earlier today and it was fine. I also can't connect to the webpages when i try to go into can't access account. Other than that it's fine, help?

    There's also no Xbox live ban message like what I thought it would be and no sign that anything's wrong with the console.

    My family has had a jab at it but can't come up with anything.

    EDIT: fixed the live thing. My dyslexic ass can't count my password was 17 characters when the limit for 360 is 16- Still can't access websites or use hdmi

    Looking for a source of slim motherboards

    So recently my beloved Xbox from my childhood got the red dot so I attempted to fix it. Well while trying to take the x bracket off of the motherboard I scratched the motherboard with a screwdriver, so my repair was not a success. I would like to try and replace the motherboard instead of dropping $100 for another 360 but I can't find any motherboards for the slim. If anyone could help me or send me to another sub it would be much appreciated.

    Xbox game pass

    I can get 3 months of Xbox game pass for only a buck. I'm pretty sure I'm gonna do that but I read that you can't play any of the game pass games on the 360. I'd be buying it for the 3 months of Xbox live gold but I wanted to ask y'all a question before I got it. Will I still get the 3 months of gold even though I don't get to play any of the game pass games. or is this offer only for series x/Xbox one owners?

    Copying LOTS of save files to a flash drive?

    Is there a way to copy a few thousand save files (yes, a few THOUSAND) to a flash drive/external device without doing it one at a time? We've had ours since about 2007, and I know it's going to die soon, so I want to try to make the copying process as fast as I can to save that data. I don't have access to Xbox Live Gold, so I can't use the cloud.

    Need to replace controllers - any recommendations?

    My parents let me have their Xbox 360 when I moved out, but the controllers seem worn out; they either won't charge or won't hold a charge. I'm not completely against third-party controllers, but I don't trust Amazon's fake reviews or eBay's slew of fraudulent listings. Does anyone have a third-party controller they would recommend?

    Game suggestions for my father?

    Hello people.

    My father (45) has decided to try playing videogames. I have my old x360, so I decided to give it to him, but I have no idea which game should I buy for him.

    He has little gaming experience, he has played some older games (Resident Evil, Wolfenstein, Medal of Honor, Age of Empires), but hasn't played much in the recent 15 years or so.

    I am looking for a game that would suit him. It should be something, that doesn't require a lot of time investment or knowledge of the plot (like Assassin's creed), isn't over the top complicated and doesn't have much violence (that's why I ain't getting him Wolfenstein the new order or Fallout NV). Oh, and also looking for something that ain't really slow and relaxing, my old man still has some energy in him y'know.

    As for my picks I thought about getting him Medal of Honor: Airborne, Skyrim(although, unsure, he hasn't played any RPGs ever) or, maybe, L.A. Noire.

    Any good suggestions?

    So I was wondering if there's a way to mod an xbox 360 to play games that are downloaded without having to use the game disc? I have some of my old games that I got rid of downloaded on my hard drive but no longer have the disc. The main one is NCAA 14, which is like $80 so i'd rather just play it than have to buy it again. Also, i'd rather not have to take my console apart so if there's a way to do it through usb or the hard drive that would be better for me. Any help would be much appreciated.

    Games that remind you of the cold or set in Winter.

    Hey y'all, looking for some recommendations for games either set in winter or that remind you of the cold. Doesn't have to be an exclusive, but I would prefer it. Also, avoid arcade games, I'm looking for major AAA titles. An example of what I'm looking for would be Far Cry 4. I love that game and the atmosphere reminds me of the current season.
