I own a 600 plus member club on xbox. I know it's not much but, I enjoy having and running it. I used to be able to go directly to a person's profile I just met and under the invite menu there was an option to invite to club. It's not there anymore. Now I have to invite from within the club or have that person search for it and request an invite. Ita not the end of the world, just makes things more difficult. Some people might feel desperate to get their hands on a Series S/X right now if one becomes available. As someone who picked up a series S when I had the opportunity, I can honestly tell you you should wait, and hold out for an X. Posted: 16 Nov 2020 02:52 AM PST I get that some of you will be saying, "Yeah, no shit." That is a fair point. I knew going in that the S wasn't going to be ideal over the long run, but I figured I could use it and then sell it when I could upgrade to an X. I just wasn't aware until I got it how much of a hindrance it was going to be coming from a One S. Most of my initial complaints about the Series S were not that big of a deal. They got rid of the optical port, so I could no longer hook the system up to my soundbar. Not a dealbreaker. Just annoying. The official charging pack from the One controllers is not compatible with the Series controllers. Once again, annoying but not a deal-breaker. The real kick in the nuts is the 512 GB SSD. After all the system required stuff you are left with roughly 300 GB of free space. What I learned very quickly is that all it takes is 1-2 AAA titles and their DLC to fill the entire thing. Games like CoD will practically wipe it out by themselves. You can buy a memory expansion for it. That will run you $220. If you are going to spend that much you might as well just wait and get an X for the same price or cheaper after-tax. Overall, the Series S isn't terrible for a budget console if you are the type of person who really only plays one or two games, but if you are someone who looks forward to accessing the bulk of the Gamepass library you will spend most of your time deleting and installing games as opposed to playing them. The point is, there really is no scenario where buying an S and then spending the $220 to upgrade the memory is going to be a better option than just waiting for an X.
