    I currently have a 2yo Xbox one s and I want to replace it with a new console. I was thinking about two models that Called my attention and please if you don't care about this post, don't downvote it and don't send hate threads like many did. Ty. Should I get an Xbox one X or an Xbox series S? Also for those who prefer the One X, What kind of external hard drive you guys recommend for it? Let me know down below what you think!

    Can anyone recommend a hard drive (4TB or even 8TB) for Xbox Series S? I was about to buy one from Amazon and the contradictory Q&A section appears to say that I can’t play Series S games with that drive. Or this drive on Windows Central that says I can store the games but I can’t play them…?

    Hii been wondering which is better (without accounting for the price) the series S or series X? Obviously know that the X has the disk tray but are there really any other significant differences? Haven't had an Xbox in like a year and don't want to buy one then regret I didn't get the other.

    Both my Xbox one and series x have black screened this week. Advice?

    My Xbox one black screened after the latest update, and after trying everything (except for a factory reset) it won't come back. My series x just black screened today. I was in the middle of a game and it just went black, I could still hear noises but no visuals. I just got it two months ago. Is there anything I can do??

    This is a post of my comment for Xbox users help. Alot of people keep posting questions that are answered here.

    The series this is a great console just know that all series games needs that be on the internal or the expansion slot otherwise all your ONE games can be installed on a external HDD

    There are three kinds of memory

    Nvme SSD

    SSD

    HDD

    Series games have to be played on an nvme SSD

    Series consoles internal is an nvme SSD

    The expansion slot in the back is a pcie4 slot. It is possible to third party for that but I know there's some work involved.

    I don't recommend trying this because I don't believe it's plug and Play easy like most users want until they release third party nvme ssds for the consoles

    Also in your games library go to sort your games by console type of sort by what consoles play them and alphabetize at the same time and you'll see which ones need to be installed on what drives

    Is it possible for the sub cable to cause control issues?

    I have a new xbox one controller, it used the battery, and yesterday I started using it with the usb cable, but after that in games the characters are moving forward by themselves. I tested it with some old batteries and it seems to be normal. I really wanted to know if this is a problem with the cable.

    Anyone else get a Series X via "Xbox Series X Xbox All Access" program?

    I bought a Series X yesterday through Gamestop using this All Access program, which gives you a XBsX and 2 years of Game Pass for like $38 a month for 2 years. I basically had to open a line of credit through this credit company called "Citizens One" to be billed monthly, and GS is supposed to be mailing me a XBsX I guess???

    Has anyone else did this? Am I to believe they just have XBsX's in stock for this program only? Is that why no one can find them in retail stores?

    I cannot load the xbox app on my PC lately. I have uninstalled the app and when I try to download it from the store it just sits there and does nothing. Anyone else having issues like this or know how to fix it?

    First time using a console, bought xbox 360 and ultimate gold pass, cannot find free games on the console. Need help please.

    Hi,

    It's the first time I ever have a console. I bought a used xbox 360 for the kids, created a microsoft account and paid for the ultimate game pass. When I'm on my computer, I'm able to play to games with this account. However, what I'm looking for is to play games for free on my xbox 360.

    When I opened my xbox, on the profile screen, I went directly to the right, clicked on Download a profile, entered my microsoft account. I connect. I now see my character with the name on his right and xbox live at the top of his name.

    Now, I just don't know where to go to have the free games. At the top of my screen, I see the pages names: bing, home, social, games, etc

    I have a game cd in the xbox so when I'm on the 'home' page, I see the game at the top left of my screen. My guess is that the game should be at the middle of this screen since it says in big GOLD : new gold games (everything is in french but I translate to give you the information)

    When I go to this big screen for GOLD and click A, it enter into it. I see a free promoted game on the left, in the middle at the top, deals with gold(67% off), middle bottom, games with gold: more informations, and at the right, two other promoted games.

    I click on games with gold: more informations with A.

    I see a screen explaning what is 'games gold' and at the bottom there is a gold rectangle with 'to know more about Xbox One' with general conditions under it.

    I click on the gold rectangle. All the games I find there, I have to pay.

    How does it works?

    XBOX repair/replace dilemma

    tl;dr — Should I repair my malfunctioning Xbox One S or upgrade?

    So I'm in a bit of a pickle with my Xbox One S and I'm not sure what to do. I bought it back in 2017 to be a 4K home theater hub with some casual gaming, and it worked great for a long time. Late last year I started having issues with it, and I'm fairly certain the hard drive has gone bad. It'll run well for a few days or sometimes weeks, then I'll have to reset it to factory settings (which admittedly doesn't take that long, but it is annoying). I got an external SSD so I don't have to redownload my games every time, and a Fire Cube for the family for streaming, so I've been able to stumble along like that for a few months.

    Here's the dilemma — I want to fix this, but none of the options are perfect. Here's what I think my options are:

    1. Do nothing, and keep restoring the Xbox every other time I want to play Fallout 4 until the whole thing dies
    2. Spend $200 for the Microsoft repair or replace (which means spending $200 on a nearly five-year-old system)
    3. Spend $300 on the Xbox Series S, but lose the ability to play DVDs, Blu-rays, HD-DVDs and older games I own on disc (some of which I've never opened)
    4. Try to buy the $500 Xbox Series X (which has more gaming power than this casual gamer will ever need, and which will stick out like a sore thumb on my shelf) basically just for the disc drive

    I'm also trying to figure out how much it would cost to buy digital versions of all my physical games, but I hate the notion of having to rebuy what I already own.

    So, any thoughts from the community? I appreciate your feedback!
