My 360 S isn’t installing games anymore. How is the E model?

I REALLY don't want to buy another S model unless it's clearly the best one, so I'm pondering on the E model. I figured it's newer so therefore the parts should be newer and more durable, but this is all speculation of course. I'm mostly concerned about the volume when discs are inside. The S even 11 years later can be whisper quiet with an installed game, so I'm hoping the E keeps that consistency.

I install all my games to my HDD anyway, but I wanted to know if anyone can vouch for the 360 E being as quiet or even quieter than the S.

Xbox 360 won’t connect to Xbox live

I just bought a used Xbox 360 E and I have been having trouble connecting it to Xbox live. Every time I test my connection, it fails on connecting to Xbox live. I know it's not my internet because my old 360 connects just fine. I've also tried to use my phones hotspot to see if I could get on through that, but no dice. I've tried resetting the network settings to defaults and even reformatting the hard drive but both neither fixed it. Does anyone know how to fix this?

It keeps kicking me out and saying I'm not connected to xbox live - I've tried clearing cache, restarting router, and downloading map packs.

I guess most other games are hacked...

I've logged 26 hours into the game and decided to install shivering isles so i put in the second disk and installed the content. Then went back to disk 1 and waited 24 hours and nothing. Ive done this countless times now and it just wont appear. Any recommendations?
