    Blown away by Ori and the will of the wisps

    I just had to share my short opinion after 15 hour playthrough of ori and will of the wisps. Ever since i finished the platforming trilogy of deadcells, Celeste and hollow knight i was craving for something like those games. And then comes Ori wotw..visual prowess of hollow knight. weapons and mods of deadcells and damn good platforming challenge of Celeste.

    And to top everything off, what a great story.

    What a great game. If you like platformers this begs your time and attention.

    Left 4 Dead System Link isn't working?

    My family and I tried to play Left 4 Dead 1 & 2 together. We're all connected to the same wifi signal and logged into XBOX LIVE Silver. One of us would start a campaign lobby, but when the others tried to join, it would tell us the lobby is no longer available. Restarting our consoles, resetting the cache, reinstalling the game, updating our consoles, and making sure we're friends on both the 360 and ONE versions of LIVE. I remember it just working before...

    Did we miss some step?

    Dog stepped on the hdmi and this is the result. Any suggestions or alternatives are greatly appreciated. Right now my monitor is saying “no connection to hdmi 1.” —- I tried to use both hdmi ports so it’s not that. And my switch works. Sorry for the crappy photo it was hard to get.

    Audio specs for games? (Games don't seem to be listing their sound features, am I missing something?

    Hey all-

    I've been looking at upgrading my soundbar, and I realized I should look to see what kind of sound features some of my games were produced with. I mean- does is the game mastered with stereo, 5.1 surround, atmost/dtx+, HD, etc. But, turns out for the couple of games that looked at, they don't list any specific sound mastering information.

    I looked at Fallout 4 and Far Cry 5.

    Is there some norm that games use for sound that's a 'given' if they don't list anything specific? Are there games that do have higher audio features?

    So much info on HDR, 'enhanced', 4k, but so little for audio stuff. Weird. What am I missing?

    Edit- on a whim I looked at my box jacket for the games I have the disc for. Most of them list the sound mastering on the back. It's small, just a part of all the other information on the back panel, but it'd there. Dolby logos, DTS logos, etc. So they do list it for the physical discs. I'd think it'd be easy to find that info online... Oh well...

    Party issues

    One of my friends can join our party with no issue, but as soon as it is more than just me in the party he has the same issues as if he was disconnected without actually disconnecting. This problem was initially with one of my friends but now it is with 2, is there any way to fix this?

    What's the catch with Device Control? Can't get any of my devices to work with it.

    • Is there an additional piece of kit you need (Kinect or something)?
    • Does the Xbox need line of sight to reach my devices?
    • Is there a definitive list of remote codes online anywhere?

    I have my Xbox in a media cabinet, with the doors closed, but the doors have big glass windows, which remote signals should be able to pass through.

    Next to my Xbox is my LG blu-ray player which is also a 5.1 audio system. The Xbox is connected to this by Optical cable. Instead of a TV I use a projector, which is sat on the opposite side of the room, about 9 feet from the Xbox.

    LG blu ray player / 5.1 receiver is model BH6620P (which isn't listed anywhere on Xbox's list of models)

    Projector is an Optoma HD600x-LV (which also isn't listed anywhere on Xbox's list of models. There's an HD60x-LV listed, but that's a model number Optoma has never even produced - so WTF is that about?)

    I've tried using the nearest model numbers available, and set them up to all turn off/on when the Xbox does, but neither of them do anything. Any idea what's wrong with this?

    All Xbox One Consoles getting discontinued.

    Something interesting I noticed today at my job. I work in electronics at target and I was checking to see if we were getting anymore Xbox one consoles in. I noticed every single Xbox console we normally carry was discontinued. Meaning essentially our store will no longer be carrying any Xbox one S or Xbox one X consoles. Doesn't make much sense to stop selling consoles in July at a major retailer if the console is expected to release holiday 2020. Made me wonder if maybe a surprise early launch of the Series X is on the way 🤔

    Elite 2 Trigger Stop Nubs keep breaking?

    I saw another post on this reddit page explaining the same issue, but the nubs on the back of the Elite 2 controller both broke off on my controller, so now I just have these 2 little plastic spikes sticking out of my controller, making it harder (but notably not impossible) to change the trigger stop function. Is there any fix to this?

    P.S: Didn't get the warranty for the controller, mistakes were made.

    So I just bought a new headset (razer kraken x) and I play rainbow 6 siege, a lot. I was flicking through Xbox Audio settings and I was just wondering which would be the best setting for that game?
