The last game I was seriously into was Call of Duty World at War, which was popular in 2008-2009. It's been a little over a decade since I've touched an Xbox. I want to get back into it but I have no idea where to even start. What games are popular now? How much would it cost to get rolling again with a new Call of Duty? Do people still play COD or did another FPS take its place? Should I wait for the new Xbox to come out or is there still a big community around Xbox One? Any advice/feedback is greatly appreciated! | Posted: 08 Jul 2020 10:29 AM PDT I have an issue where the voice of my mates is played on the wrong sound device, even though it clearly states in the settings that the correct device is chosen. I have a headset and speaker, their voices are played on the speaker, when it is supposed to be played on the headset. | Games not loading on external drive Posted: 08 Jul 2020 12:29 PM PDT I have almost all of my games on an external hard drive and every time I try to open one it gives me an error and says it took too long to open. I opened a game that's stored on my Xbox hard drive and it worked fine. I already power cycled everything and I plugged it into a different USB port but nothing has helped. Is there any way to fix my hard drive or am I gonna have to get a new one? [link] [comments] | ||
| Posted: 08 Jul 2020 11:17 AM PDT Has anyone noticed an uptick in random accounts spamming adds or follows? I'm just curious to see if my account is being targeted specifically. So far, nothing has come of it, but on a daily basis the same accounts(sometimes different) add or follow me. I looked up the name of one account and apparently he was getting names from random clubs and if you add him back you get hit with a ddos attack. | Posted: 08 Jul 2020 01:11 PM PDT I have moved into a new home in which my room is small, to be able to have a walkway across one end of the room to the other is to have my Xbox above my tv on a shelf. This doesn't sit right with me but wires will be put away and a lip on the shelf will be put so it can't fall. It still seems wrong though, anyone know if this is something that is ok to do or not? Every December my Xbox Gold subscription renews, and back in May I did the $1 Game Pass Ultimate 'Upgrade' (I'm not sure if upgrade is the right word to use). The Ultimate expired the other day, and now I no longer have Gold. Would getting the Ultimate subscription have replaced the other 7 months left on my original Gold subscription? Using the phone app or desktop Console companion, it was easy to find all of a persons captures but that does not seem to be the case anymore. Is there a new way of being able to get the captures ? We'd like to get everything we can downloaded and saved off the cloud. I know if we had access to his Xbox account this would all be very simple, but we don't have that.
