    At the start of the Xbox One generation I'm sure we all remember how terrible of a position the brand was in. Don Mattrick and Co. were seriously a terrible piece of the Xbox brand and quite literally left it in ruins.

    I'd like to thank Phil Spencer for dragging Xbox out of the hole it was in and putting the ultimate focus back on games. While the exclusives were lackluster this generation, he made the moves to buff up the first party studios, and invest heavily in game pass. Because of this, we now have a lot to look forward to as Xbox fans.

    I'm super excited for next generation, and it's largely thanks to Phil.

    Don't get me wrong I much prefer the Phil Spencer days over the Don Matrick ones but I feel like we moved away from the Kinect right as developers realized the right way to use it.

    I just downloaded Alien: Isolation and there's Kinect implementation. I can lean around corners by slightly leaning my body and I can make the game more exciting by turning on the Mic audio to alert in game enemies if I make too much noise in real life. After playing that I remembered how fun it was to lean in Battlefield 4 and call for ammo or a medic with my voice.

    I miss snapping Netflix or achievement guide videos to the side while I game and snapping nfl.com fantasy football scores every Sunday while I watch the games with my brothers. Hell, I miss side by side Kinect adventures and Kinect sports action with my cousins. There were a lot of issues with the late 360/early One days but a lot of stuff worked. I'm hoping some of it will come back at some point.

    Game Pass worth it for dad and kid?

    Forgive me for being so late to the party... I turned my Xbox on today for the first time in several years and my 4 y/o son and I are just starting to get into gaming together. Is the Game Pass worth the $10/month for games we can get into right now? Or should I hold off a bit longer? Thanks!

    I've tried this game few times over last few years and haven't got past the 1 hour mark. I'm going through a process of completing all my old games before I buy a new one. Dreaded loading up MEA but I'm loving it. I'm playing on one X so possibly that's helping load in the textures properly now or possibly the game has had multiple updates since last time. Anyhoo if you loved 1-3 and tried this and thought no way you should give it another go until you have put a settlement on EOS it gets really good:-)

    This game is an absolute master piece. I'm normally a Battlefield/COD kind of guy but I read good things about this game on Reddit and thought I would give it a blast with having game pass... Wow.

    The story, the graphics and the audio is just unbelievable. Please give this a try if you have game pass... But have the tissues at the ready :)

    I'm interested to know from people who have active GamePass subscriptions whether they buy other games or feel the need to spend money on additional games? From what I understand all first party games are included in the subscription. If you do spend how many additional games do you purchase?

    Trying to play some Reach or BF3 but it won't let me log in to Live. I'm on Live no problem on Xbone dashboard. Can play online and everything. I was just playing BF3 last night too. This started when I booted up the Xbox this morning. I have reset my router, cleared cache, changed my account password, deleted my profile, hard shut down the Xbox, and now when I try to re-download my profile I get an error message saying, "Sorry there's a problem with the credentials that you're using to sign in. Go to account.live.com to fix the problem." What else do I do? Live status shows systems green.

    Help: Can't appear online

    As title suggests I can't appear online. Whenever I set it to Appear Online it switches to "Online Status Unknown" and then back to Appear offline. Is there anything to fix this? I've tried a reset and messed with privacy settings but nothing has worked

    Edit: Just tried through the full profile Page and got "That did not work. Sorry, give it another try"
