    In a few days im picking up my friends 360 and 3 controllers for $20, but i really know nothing about it. I mainly had the idea to get it to expirence the older fifas, but i know theres tons of other games to play. Any suggestions or tips?

    Rumor: Online multiplayer to become free. If true, what will mean for us Xbox 360 players?

    Well, since a couple of days ago when M$ removed the option tu buy Xbox Live Gold for 12 months from every region, there is rumor going on about "online / multiplayer" will become free. I'm personally not sure about anything, but I probably has something to do with merging other services: GamePass (console/PC/ultimate) and xCloud.
    As a Xbox 360 user seems to be beneficial. No need to pay for gold would probably get more people to play somewhat unpopular games. However, what would happen with "games with gold" program?

    Hello,
    I have been into purchasing old consoles lately and opening them up, cleaning them, and modding them. I purchased an original 360 today for $20 and have a few questions.

    1. I am pretty sure I bought a jasper model . Voltage reads 12v DC, 12.1A. This is the most reliable 1st generation model, right? Less chance for red ring of death?
    2. It did not come with a power supply and I tried looking at local Goodwill stores for any, but no avail. Are there any alternate power supply options? Or simply find an OEM that fits with the jasper model? I know I have seen them at some thrift stores before.
    3. Will a Logitech F310 controller work via USB? It can switch between x input and direct input.
    4. I have a wireless 360 controller I purchased from another thrift store. Checked it does get power. It can connect through bluetooth and there is no dongle, right?
    5. Are these easy to mod?
    6. Are memory cards needed to store save files? Or is there an option to store the data onto a hard drive? I have a Gamecube and PS3, so which is it more like in terms of saving files? :-)
    7. Anything else to be aware of? Like, should I remove a capacitor, similar to the original xbox?

    Just raided an evicted tenant's apt with the manager's permission. 300+ movies and the games on the right, a 360. I don't own a ps4 but they did, someone stole it but I'm still happy.

    I love trying to figure out how things work, and I have been wondering how the Xbox 360 connects to Xbox live and how they communicate I tried to figure it out myself by seeing how it establishes a connection with Microsoft, but all the links I search up that came from the wireshark test dont come up with anything relevant. If anyone knows anybody or knows themselves how Xbox live works on the 360 all comments are appreciated!

    Is it possible to get a USB mic (that you'd use for a computer) to work on your XBOX 360? What would I need to buy to make it happen?

    Instead of buying a mic strictly for 360, I want to use something like this, my questions are

    1) What would I need to make this happen?

    2) Will it sound just as good as on a computer? I know with some adapters you can hear quality loss.

    Problem with backwards compatibility

    I got red dead redemption 1, backwards compatibility (xbox one and 360). As I tried to load in, I keep disconnecting from Xbox live, and when I go to sign in it does some weird things. For one, it shows my old username and not my current one, and it also simply wont let me sign in. Any help is greatly appreciated.

    Replacing our 360, would like some tips.

    So, our current 360 has stopped reading disks entirely. my mother in law is going to give us her xbox slim.

    Primarily, the 360 is a minecraft machine for us. My wife and I have profiles which are online (although we dont use xbox live gold and have no intention to in the future). The Kid's profiles are local only. they've never been set up online.

    What should we expect as far as transferring to the slim?

    we do have a few downloaded games that I don't want to loose in the switch. Our current 360 has a removable drive but I don't know if that's compatible with the slim.

    Any advice or tips would be appreciated.

    Bought the slim black model yesterday. It just feels like it isn't working right but haven't had a 360 since the old original model was new.

    I have "high speed" internet but it won't connect to my WiFi. I hooked up to network with wired connection downloaded KOTOR 2 (4.2 gb) and after over 3 hours it was still at just 32%. Menus take forever to load. I feel like it should be about the same as my PS3 speed wise. Or is it just slower? Did I get a bad unit? Should I take it back? Any help appreciated.
