| Clarifying xCloud / mixer + FB gaming Posted: 22 Jun 2020 02:54 PM PDT I'm seeing lots of concern rising over FB gaming integrating into the Xbox UI / ecosystem. Just wanted to breakdown the news release and the Mixer FAQ for the transition process. At this point in time, there is no mention of FB integration into the Xbox ecosystem. TLDR: Microsoft is dumping off their current mixer users into FB gaming and getting a potential xCloud integration. Mixer technology is getting repurposed. Twitch will be the only way to stream from console as of July.
Current streamers on mixer can opt-in to a transition into FB gaming. This is a platform transfer. Similar to groove users moving to Spotify when Microsoft stopped their music subscription service.
Microsoft is exploring "click and play" opportunities to integrate their xCloud service into FB gaming. The intention is to explore opportunities where "click and watch" can instantly become "click and play"
"Mixer's deep investments in ultra-low latency video streaming, real-time interactivity, and video distribution technology" will be utilized in their business side Microsoft teams.
After July 22, 2020, we'll turn off the ability to stream to Mixer from your Xbox One. You can continue to stream your gameplay from Xbox One using the Twitch app or by connecting to a PC and streaming via software such as OBS or XSplit. | Posted: 22 Jun 2020 08:41 AM PDT I have TCL 55R615 TV. Everything was working great before 9.3. I had HDR 10 and Dolby Vision support. After Roku 9.3 update, my xbox now says my TV does not support HDR 10 and Dolby Vision. Not sure what happened with the update. I tried different HDMI port, reboot xbox and TV, it's still not working like before. Edit: Fix found! It looks like the update reset my hdmi mode to auto. Once you change it to hdmi 2.0, your hdr and Dolby Vision will be back! | Totally newbie...please be kind and help me surprise my stepson Posted: 22 Jun 2020 09:01 AM PDT Hey everyone, I know I have no business on this forum but am reaching out for help. I know nothing about Xbox One/Xbox Live. My stepson is in love with Fortnite and I am about to buy him a console. Would an 500GB Xbox One work out fine for him if he is just playing Fortnite through Xbox live? Also are there any issues with using one account to be signing into Xbox Live on multiple consoles? Does the account need to be upgraded? Are you good to just sign on from any Xbox Live as long as you are signed in on only on one device at a time? He already has an Xbox Live account he has been using and I'm wondering if I can get him gaming with a 500 GB console if he doesn't plan on playing many other downloadable games (From what I understand we can at least get a couple saved on 500 GB). I'm probably not asking all of the right questions, so please fill me in on how I can learn more about what to buy/pay for. | Xbox team, can you please fix the video capture function. Posted: 22 Jun 2020 12:51 PM PDT Just won my first game of Warzone (which was intense) and went to capture the last 5 minutes at the end of the game. I get a confirmation that it's recorded but then nothing shows up in my library (on either 'this xbox' or 'xbox live'). Myself and my flatmate have had this issue on our separate xbox's when it only records 7 seconds out of 5 minutes. It's super frustrating to have as an option if it only seemingly works 50% of the time.
