    Just bought my first xbox

    The one s gears bundle. I know series x is coming out soon but had some extra $ and done supporting playstation. I'll buy a ps5 used IF bloodborne 2 ever comes out. Kind of excited to try a new system out and looking forward to checking out gamepass.

    I heard that the AmazonBasics rechargeable batteries used to be good a few years back but became bad recently. I'm wondering if the same has happened to Eneloops because most positive reviews from people who own Eneloops have had their batteries for quite some time. My question is, are Eneloops still worth it to buy in 2020? Please let me know if these batteries have downgraded in quality lately! Thank you!

    P.S. if you have any other recommendations on battery options for Xbox One controllers that you have tried not long ago, feel free to say them too!

    What is Microsoft working on?

    I decided to go through all of the studios owned by Microsoft in order to see what information is currently available about games in development.

    343 industries - Halo Infinite

    Compulsion Games - The developers of We Happy Few, they are currently working on a new IP and continuing to hire on new staff. No official info has been released as of yet, but the job listing did state they wanted a writer who could "research into relevant history & mythology" and has "knowledge and love of culture beyond Science Fiction and Fantasy." The game is being developed in Unreal Engine 4.

    Double Fine - The developer of Psychonauts, they are currently developing Psychonauts 2.

    InXile Entertainment - Their new game Wasteland 3 is set to release on August 28th, but they are also currently working on a AAA RPG built in Unreal Engine 5. The lead combat designer for God of War (2018) was recently hired on as their lead combat designer.

    Mojang - They are continuing to develop for Minecraft and whatever new games they put out next gen will likely be related to Minecraft.

    Ninja Theory - Senua's Saga: Hellblade 2 is set to release Holiday 2020. They are also currently working on Project: Mara, for which there are few details.

    Obsidian Entertainment - Currently working on an unannounced RPG. It will most likely be 1st/3rd person action RPG with branching dialogue and story choices. It will have multiplayer in some form.

    Playground Games - Currently working on a AAA RPG, which, according to leaks, is going to be Fable 4.

    Rare - Currently in development of Everwild & Battletoads

    The Coalition - Known for developing Gears of War, they are reportedly working on a new IP.

    The Initiative - The so-called AAAA studio, developing an unannounced game.

    Turn 10 - Probably Forza

    Undead Labs - Probably State of Decay 3

    World's Edge - Currently assisting with the development of Age of Empires 4, its unclear if they are developing any games of their own currently.

    Xbox Global Publishing - They help publish 3rd party games, one upcoming example is Tell Me Why.

    I for one am quite excited for a fair number of these games and hope we get to see a fair number of them at the event next month. Are there any games or studios in particular you're hoping to learn more about?

    Elite controller — are they really worth it?

    I've been looking at the prices of these controllers and am having a hard time fathoming how a controller could cost more than a gently used XBox One S. They are $180 at Best Buy. Beyond extra buttons and maybe a more comfortable feel, do they actually improve gaming that much more than the regular controllers? I've been keeping track of the frequency of posts on how fragile they seem to be (maybe is just confirmation bias since only those with issues would even mention them on a forum). So what exactly is it about these controllers that justify their cost? Honestly curious.

    Ps4 and pc get the ultimate edition, which not only comes with all dlc but is remastered. I'm not really one for fighters anyway but this is a real screw over by WB.

    Season pass is still $15.
