    Redid the thermal paste and left it to sit few days because it was still freezing with no red light. Was hoping the thermal paste just had to settle in or something but it has finally red lit after I just turned it on to see what it was doing.

    I was given a 360 S last week, coworker rescued it from their son that was just going to throw it away and brought it into the office and I said I'd take it. The power supply is pretty noisy (guessing a really dirty fan) but it works pretty well overall. I even had the right WD hard drive to 'patch' so i have 320GB in it instead of just 4GB. But since 2009 when my original 360 died after a month, I finally have an Xbox again LOL

    I had to move last week so i don't have all my wired network set up so i'm stuck on wifi for a while. And the 360 seems to be having a shit of a time connecting, specifically it claims it can't get an IP like 90% of the time. I even pulled out my older Linksys wifi to give it a different and closer connection to use (thinking the 80211n of the router might be too much for it and the Linksys is only 80211g, but no real difference.) My PS3 sits right next to it and connects fine every time. (Yes, my PS3 and this 360S are the newest consoles I have ...) And I have a Chromebook and iPad further away than the consoles and they connect fine as well.

    Is there any 'tricks' to help the 360 connect better or am I just kinda stuck until I get the wiring run and can avoid wifi altogether?

    Play an installed 360 game on another console

    I have one xbox 360 with a busted dvd drive that will recognize the disc that's inserted, but it will not play the game correctly nor install the game to the hard drive.

    I have another 360 that works perfectly (and is a jtagged unit).

    I am wondering if it is possible to install the game on one 360 and swap out the drives to play it on another console.

    I know that the 360 tracks what console it was installed on and wont let you play the installed game on another console, but I am wondering if you can modify the game files somehow to make it work on the other 360.

    I'm considering on getting into game achievement hunting and I want to collect the entire library for the console since 360 games are pretty cheap these days. I know some older games like naruto ones can go for as high as $80 because of how rare they can be to find in good condition. So it got me wondering, how many rare 360 games are there and what do they usually fetch for? I wanna try and getting all the cheap games first before going after the more rarer games.

    Ok so I've been thinking, project xcloud can turn anything with an internet connection into an Xbox capable of playing modern titles. The Xbox 360 has an internet connection, xcloud on 360, halo infinite on 360. Microsoft should develop an xcloud app for the 360, they already let you do it on everything else, why not do it with the 360. They could have a package deal or something where if you activate xcloud on a 360 you get a month of ultimate, just imagine the possibilities

    What's some easy but still fun games single player games also by easy I don't care if it has a difficulty option where could be hard or easy I will most definitely turn that to it's maximum and be too stubborn to admit it's too hard for me I want games like Tomb Raider (2013) where it's definitely quality but even hardest difficulty isn't too painful

    Trouble logging in with 2FA

    I had not logged in to my Xbox 360 in over a year. I have 2FA turned on so I have to use an app password. I had forgotten all about that so when it first prompted me for a password I tried the actual password associated with my e-mail. After getting a error message i remembered I needed to use the app password. Even using the app password I still could not log in. Looking online i double checked and what i read made it sound like an app password is re useable on a device, not a one time code. I tried a couple more times to make sure I didn't miss type, still no luck.

    I logged into my microsoft account and created a new app password, entered that in the password field on my xbox 360 and logged in fine. I guess we will see what happens the next time it asks for a password, whether this app password works again or if I have to create another one.
