    My apologies if this has already been discussed. When I'm trying to acquire one of the free Games with Gold games, I don't love that it starts downloading the game instantly. I'd prefer the Playstation approach where you select "Add to Library" at which point you can then download the game if you choose to.

    Sometimes I just want to get the game added before I forget, but I don't want to use up the hard drive space right away.

    Is there a feature on Xbox like this, or do I always just have to cancel the download after it starts?

    There are several games in the sale that aren't actually couch co-op:

    - Dead by Daylight

    - Grand Theft Auto V

    Immediately stand out.

    I mean, that is some false advertising if I have ever seen it.

    So, if you are browsing through the couch co-op sale trying to find games to play with your friend/partner/lodger/landlord, then bear in mind that not all the games are actually couch co-op.

    2 step verification is a pain

    So my friend is trying to give me his Xbox account since he's going to college but everytime I try to sign in it says verify with 2 step verification. The problem is that the account that goes with his Xbox doesn't work anymore so he can't even turn the feature off. Any way to bypass this so he can give me his account?

    USB Media no longer recognized

    I've been using a 4gb external harddrive (formatted to exfat) for media on my OG xbox one for years and was using without issue until this morning. I went to plug it into the back and the usual notification that a usb drive was just inserted didn't pop up and media player and vlc both don't see anything. The drive is recognized fine on my mac and other drives are still recognized fine for both media and storage.

    I just got another 4gb drive for another purpose so I thought I'd transfer some of the files over and test that. I plugged it in and selected "use for media" and then nothing. Fine on my Mac, other drives just fine, tried a multitude of different drives in different usb slots, turning the console on and off, power cycle and still these two drives are not being recognized.

    The only thing I haven't done is do a full reset but I just did one about a month or so ago with the black screen glitch and everything has been running smoothly ever since.

    I'm officially stumped. Any advice or thoughts? Thanks.

    Lost in random is freaking amazing

    The most interesting game concept this year u combine Alice in wonderland with card game mechanics and a sprinkle of puzzles with a semi open world u get this game. I kinda went in blind didn't read reviews the minute I saw the trailer in july I was sold instantly. The game hasn't disappointed 2 hours in and I'm just now meeting the card merchant.

    How to keep add-ons from reinstalling?

    I play modern warfare on my Xbox series s, and a lot of you know some maps will give you a "Match Started, Loading Level" text. To fix this, you need to delete some add-ons. My problem, every time I want to play, I have to re delete the add-ons, because they reinstall. Anyone know how to fix?

    Just wondering if there were any apps that measured input lag. I'm trying to see if the difference I think I see between game mode and non-game mode is my imagination. And if it's dramatically different than the TV's rating.

    Can’t find old games.

    When I got my Xbox one S I had multiple games that were in the "ready to install" section, now I can't find that section nor the games that I had. Like Minecraft Xbox one edition or battlefield 1, can anybody help me?
