Looking for recommendations for the replacement Xbox 360 Wireless Controllers Sticks

    Posted: 13 Sep 2021 06:46 PM PDT

The original joysticks for my wireless Xbox 360 controller are at the point where they really need to be replaced.

Can someone recommend a place to find good quality replacements?

I'd prefer the replacements to be in the same style as the original if possible.

    Thanks in advance.

Jasper is giving my an annoying issue with video

    Posted: 13 Sep 2021 08:37 AM PDT

I just picked up a Jasper yesterday, sold as functional etc etc.

Currently im having an issue with the HDMI inputs.

    Currently with hdmi -

720p Works fine with no issues

480p just gives a lot of green dot artifacts and vertical dot lines

1080p mostly works, but will give a few green dot artifacts on the left side of the screen and the occasional horizontal line. Sometimes its a little worse and very rarely will the xbox output flicker to a black screen and then eventually nothing, resulting in me having to restart the system. One thing to note is that if it is giving artifacts, it seems like unplugging the cable and plugging it back in fixes the issue (its not the cable - ive tried 5 different cables and 3 different screens).

Its pointing to an issue with upscaling and downscaling??

Component and composite both work absolutely fine at all resolutions and settings.

I have dismantled the xbox after encountering this issue and repasted it. I also tried the reflow method on the usual chips with my hot air station. I noticed the Jasper i have has a sticker on the motherboard saying "Jasper pilot run week 7" or something similar.

Can anyone give me any idea on this? Is it the GPU? I've been unable to check the power brick, but it seems to be working correctly.

Any help would be appreciated. Sorry for the crappy writing, im extremely tired.

    I have an Xbox 360 Slim S

    Posted: 12 Sep 2021 10:52 PM PDT

I have an Xbox 360 Slim S, and love it. I take care of it and install my favourite games onto the hard drive just to keep it quiet. If I continue to take care of it, will my 360 last a good amount of time? I plan on getting EBgames to open it and clean it out once our restrictions ease, but other than that it seems perfect.
