    This is the thread where subscribers should bring their Xbox support issues. The collective experience of the Xbox community is one of the most powerful tools to help you fix any gaming issue, and we've been seeing some awesome responses. We love to see gamers helping gamers!

    There will also be Xbox support team members who will be helping moderate and provide solutions and can be recognized by their "Official Support" flair. We'll try to provide support right here in the thread but won't be able to respond to every single question.     When posting a question, please include the following information

    any idea why xbox one won’t turn on? all plugged in, and makes a noise when it’s turned on but won’t turn on. 7 years old, 2014 model. (sound up)

    I'm confused. What is the point of the new gamertag format if almost no (new) games support it?

    The new system sucks and its confusing. You trade in 3 extra letters to get any name you want with a suffix at the end. It sounds great but it really isn't because your new name still shows the 3-4 numbers at the end when you are in-game and as far as I know only rainbow six siege supports the new gamertags.

    Please xbox, this feature should definitely be pushed more!

    5.1 Surround sound on Xbox one

    So I was wondering, I wanted to hook up a 5.1Surround sound Amplifier to my Xbox-One. Haven't bought it yet, a friend is selling it. Firstly, will this even work? Like will it make a difference to the games from the normal 2 Channel sound I've been using. I remember Halo on the 360 worked with this, you could hear if someone was behind or in front of you. Then, what would the set up be. The amp I'm buying has a Optical audio input, Phono audio in and Coaxial audio in. I'd asumue id use a optical cable on the back of the Xbox to the optical input? There isn't anything else on the Xbox. I see there is an app on the Xbox called Dolbe Atmos, would the sound only work with this app or is the app an extra thing?

    Thanks in advance if anyone has answers.

    Games taking too long to start

    This is happening to every game on all my storage devices I've tried holding the power button on my console and and unplugging it but it's the same result. Please help.
