Controller I customized for a buddy used spare parts from other controllers
Original Xbox one continuously shows this screen at startup. For a while I was able to work around it by unplugging the power supply and then plugging it back in. Now it shows this screen no matter what. I've tried reseting the console but that only takes me back to the same screen.

I loaded up and added 2 years of gold before I upgraded to ultimate to take advantage and get it "free". If I buy another year off gold off somewhere random, will it auto convert for me again?

Black screen of death

So I've already googled a plenty. My problem seems slightly different (worse?)

I get the green startup screen. I get the little box that says "Hi, person"

I can hold the home button and get the "turn off console/controller, reset" menu.

But that's it. It's not like what I've read with black tabs or other areas. It's all black.

I've tried cold resetting, booting up in low res, switching hdmi ports, etc.

I can't even factory reset because I can't get to the settings or home menu.

Anyone else have this issue??
