Help with The Price is Right?!

    Posted: 27 Apr 2021 04:05 PM PDT

Hello guys. I didn't see anything in the sidebar about not post this asking for help but I could be wrong.

I have an XBOX 360 slim that I purchased refurbished about 7 years ago. Never used any discs in it, only downloaded games.

Now, I've busted out the ole 360 as a means of playing The Price is Right, since you can't get it from the store and it's not one the games that is backwards compatible on my XBOX ONE.

I receive the game after ordering it on Amazon, and it doesn't work. So I watch videos and learn how to take the machine apart to clean it. I've never had to take apart an old system to get it to work, but something about having never used a disc in it made me think it might be too dirty inside to work.

I cleaned it, but still it doesn't work. I've seen where some people claim something like this could be caused by a dirty lens and could be cleaned with some kind of brush disc but others say those discs are bullshit and don't work.

I'm not sure what else I can do, and I was hoping someone here might be able to help. All we want is to get into 40+ mini games from four different decades!

    Cheers.

EDIT: Should that I used compressed air during the cleaning process. I've seen someone say that that alone has fixed it for them.

    Petition To Save Halo Servers

    Posted: 27 Apr 2021 10:20 AM PDT

Recently the PS3/Vita store closure was reversed by Sony due to backlash from gamers. Planned increases to the cost of Xbox Live were also halted by Microsoft for the same reason. There still might be hope for the Halo servers on 360 if more people show Microsoft and 343 this isn't ok to shutdown.

    Black screen

    Posted: 27 Apr 2021 03:12 PM PDT

Hey, I have a reoccurring problem and wondered if anyone had a solution. I only use my 360 to watch Netflix on however every time I turn it on and select Netflix it goes to a black screen and doesn't respond. This is something that was occurring on a monthly bases and I'd resolve it by clearing the cache and restarting a couple time until I saw "optional media update" and then it would work again. Unfortunately now it happens every time I turn it on, it takes me 10-15 minutes to get it working every time I want to access it! This is really grating on me now and has me wondering if this may be something intentional on Microsoft's end .. maybe that's frustration speaking. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks.

What games to collect while they are still cheap (discussion)

    Posted: 27 Apr 2021 08:51 AM PDT

Currently playing Star Wars: The Force Unleashed on my Fat Elite. The frame rate crashes sometimes or it can be choppy at random moments. Is this normal?

    Posted: 27 Apr 2021 08:29 AM PDT

I never played this version of the game until recently. I've only ever played the PS2 version which was a port of the PSP version, and that was years ago. Anyways, I'm worried that either my Xbox 360 can't handle the game and is finally close to breaking, or maybe it's just the game. During one battle with multiple enemies on the screen attacking me, the frame rate basically crashed and was super laggy. And sometimes as I'm advancing you'll see choppy frames, like a random line appear across the screen before it goes back to normal. My question is, is this the game itself? Or is my Xbox 360 giving in?

Is there a way to obtain patches for a game (Top Spin 4) with offline servers?

    Posted: 27 Apr 2021 07:09 AM PDT

Long Story short, Top Spin 4 is my favorite Tennis Game. But I am stuck playing it as it was released. They released like 4 balancing updates for this game, but I can't get them anywhere.

Does anyone know if there is a way I can get them (like maybe a user uploads the update file(s) and I download it)?

AFIAK, Top Spin 4/2K Sports-Czech pushed out the updates from their servers. Microsoft didn't push out the updates. 2K Sports has shutdown their servers in 2017. So the only way I would know how to get the patches, is find a user who has them already and have them upload it where other users can download them and save them to their 360 HDD.
