Xbox 360 - I sometimes wish that the Xbox 360 reused the color palette and design philosophy of the original console. This is my personal take on a potential hypothetical Xbox 360: Classic Edition.

    Keeping Xbox360 Live and Store

    Posted: 06 Apr 2021 11:09 PM PDT

With the recent closure of the Ps3 store I thought it was important to point out that the Xbox360 could suffer the same fate if people do not utilize live servers / the store. Xbox has been far more supportive of its legacy content, however, it is important to keep the service healthy. Get ahold of a friend to play a game online or buy a small game on the Xbox 360 store. This post is not meant to be preachy I was just hoping that strong numbers can show Microsoft that retro gaming is important and to avoid following in Sony's footsteps.

Also as a side note keep using youtube, netflix, crunchy roll, amazon video, hulu etc. so we can keep enjoying apps on the system.

[Tech Support] Tried To Recover Lost Save Data Now My Roomate's Xbox 360 Won't Detect The HDD

    Posted: 06 Apr 2021 01:51 PM PDT

So I recently accidentally deleted my room mates mass effect 1 save and attempted to recover the data. Which I had no luck in doing. When I went to reinsert the hdd, the console no longer recognizes the hdd. I can feel the disks in the hdd spinning and it still shows up in disk management if I plug it into my pc, but when I plug it into the xbox it doesn't show up under storage. Any advice on how to fix this problem? Oh and because I know people will ask, no, I did not format the disk. I did give it a drive letter in disk management but removed it after I initially tried to recover the data. Also the software I tried using to recover the data was recuva, yup tools, stellar photo recovery, and wondershare recoverit.

    Xbox 360 Elite Disc Drive

    Posted: 06 Apr 2021 01:43 PM PDT

What do you need to replace a disc drive on an Xbox 360 elite? The disc drive on my old one doesn't reliably open and requires a paper clip to eject most times. I have all the tools to get into the console, but I've read that the board and drive are paired so just buying the parts online might not do me any good...

    Good Generic Controllers

    Posted: 06 Apr 2021 06:53 AM PDT

It's becoming more and more difficult to find OEM 360 controllers, and a lot of the ones sold on Amazon/EBay end up NOT being original. I've picked up 3-4 different generics with high ratings, and all of them seem to have quirks. Clicking stick is too stiff, triggers and bumpers too soft, or (the most common I've experienced) analogs not registering diagonal inputs.

Are there any good 360 controllers left?

They were really nostalgic for me, and I went to go buy one as my friends use to have one, but they aren't available anymore which is kinda sad.

    Is this normal?

    Posted: 06 Apr 2021 08:48 AM PDT

Every time i start a game in my 360, the fans start to go pretty loud, I will try to get a video as soon as possible to show how loud it is. So basically every time I start a game, the fans just get pretty loud, it's not even in the gameplay yet, it's still in the loading screen. It never gets quieter and just stays pretty loud. Is this normal? The fans doesnt sound too loud but still pretty annoying.

Edit: Here is the Xbox 360. Xbox 360 Video

Any great SP games that are One X enhanced?

    Posted: 06 Apr 2021 08:43 AM PDT

Looking for some recommendations for single-player Xbox 360 games that are enhanced on the One X. I currently have NG2, Bayonetta and will most likely purchase NGB; hoping people have some suggestions for action games.

    Thanks in advance!

Fat Xbox 360 is warm underneath.. is that normal?

    Posted: 06 Apr 2021 11:20 AM PDT

I have a jasper model and today I noticed that it gets warm underneath the console(sitting horizontal).

It's not hot, just slightly warm and it's only in the center.
