    Disc drive Laser reader problems

    I've had the original Xbox one for almost 6 year's now and I have two game that I play on Disc (which are the one I play most) and when I put the game in, my Xbox will tell me to clean the disc and I have multiple times I tried to clean the disc. I've tried to clean the disc drive itself but I don't know how. Usually I restart, unplug the power cord for I bit, take the disc out then back in and that's the end of it and I can play my game, but now even that won't work no matter what I try. Can I have any suggestions on how to clean the Xbox or discs or is it just really old and I need to get a new one Thanks

    Swapping controller faces? Does anyone know if the face to my Halo controller would fit/attach to my Elite Series 1 if I made an opening for the Button Map Selector?

    About 2 hours ago I changed my gamertag and it changed fine. But then I booted up an xbox 360 game and it changed back to my old one with my new one underneath (example below). Someone please explain I feel like I've been scammed for my money.

    My Call of Duty black ops Cold War will not install. I uninstalled it about a week ago and wanted to reinstall it for the new update but everytime I try to install it it says "installation stopped" anyone have a fix for this whether it's a game problem or Xbox problem?

    Movie playback Freezes from External SSD Xbox Series X Media Player

    Just wondering if anybody has had this happen or could give any insight.

    I have movies loaded up on a 1TB Samsung T7 SSD formatted in NTFS.

    When playing movies via Xbox built in X Box Series X Media Player, movies will play for a minute or so and then just pause/freeze for 10-15 seconds.

    This doesn't happen with mechanical (non SSD) 2.5 inch drives or with USB Flash Drives.

    Wondering if this is the case with other SSD's.

    Has anyone else used SSD'(s) on a Xbox One/One X/Series X for movie playback with any success?

    I tried the same SSD with a Xbox One X and had the same issue, maybe it's an issue with NVME drives?

    Any body know if this is some sort of "Buffer" size on the SSD which causes it to pause and then playback to resume?

    Save deleted, trying to recover file from external HDD

    So I've been playing No Mans Sky and have a couple hundred hour in it. I switch back and forth between two xboxes, because family, and for some reason (I have no idea why) my save does not automatically update between the two xboxes. updates fine for every other game, but not NMS and never has. It says it's syncing the data but the save is always the older one from the last time I used that xbox.

    So I always have to go into manage my game, delete the save data on the console and have it pull it from the latest save from the cloud. Well today I F'ed up and accidently did the "delete everywhere" deletion of the data instead of the delete here only version.

    No sweat, I thought, I'll just jump on the other console since it literally NEVER updates the save data between the two. I go back the first console, and check the data, it's still there. Turn on the game, and it syncs and now my save is gone. I checked the data again and I have no save for my profile anymore which means it's simply deleted it and didn't over write it. Which is where I am now.

    I've pulled the external HDD that the saves were on and am attempting to manually recover the file from the HDD... unfortunately the drive reads as unallocated on my Windows 10 PC.

    Does anyone know of a way I can get to see the files on the HDD so I can run a file recovery?

    Any suggestions really would be great.

    Hi all. Over the first month of the pandemic (March), I bought a 6 month game pass, so obviously that one is expired now. I played a number of games on the library, Ac7 being one of them. I haven't really played Xbox since school started so that I could focus on school, but just yesterday, I decided to get a one month game pass ultimate. I am able to play other games on the game pass list (ie Forza) but for some reason, I'm getting the error 0x803f8001 when I try to play Ace Combat 7. I checked and this game is on the list of game pass games. I've tried everything I can, like clearing cache, restarting the console, and logging out and logging back into my account, and contacting live support, but nothing worked. Does anyone know why it's just this game that doesn't work, and how I can fix this? Thanks

    Edit: feel free to comment below if you have the same problem. I would hope that I'm not the only one

    Xbox One X won't start

    Xbox One X starts to power up I hear chime when it starts, xbox button lights up then after a few seconds goes off. Anyone have an idea what the problem is here? Tha ks in advance
